Timothy Dalton Should Win an Oscar

"And beat Sean Connery over the head with it!"

Andrew in 6.04 "Life Serial" makes very little sense once you've seen the rest of the series.

First of all, he's a really good artist here. I wish I had that painting of the Death Star on my van. I actually cringed when Warren told him to paint over it. It was so awesome!

But the next time when see him draw anything, it's very basic and simplistic and just not very good at all. Look at 7.16 "Storyteller" when he draws pictures of the Turok-Han and the Bringers.

And, on the note of Warren, Andrew seems to not be in love with him. He's actually pretty freaked out at the idea of Warren holding his hand, and not in the 'what if someone notices I like you?' sort of way, either.

Andrew wasn't originally going to be a character, instead his brother Tucker, who we saw only once in 3.20 "The Prom", was going to return and lead the Trio. So I suppose that maybe we should just take from the episode that Tucker is a good artist? We know he's straight, anyway.

One of my favourite lines has to be in 7.09 "Never Leave Me", when Spike asks Buffy who Andrew is, Buffy tells him; "Tucker's brother." And Spike accepts that as an answer, even though he wasn't even there the single time we met Tucker! But somehow Tucker is popular/well known enough that everyone automatically knows who he is. I love it.

And is anyone else unnerved by the fact that Andrew seems to be nearing Topher Brink levels of genius lately? I mean, that Buffybot thing? That took way more robotics and neurological science know-how than he's ever shown before. I get that Warren came up with everything, but still. Andrew knows a lot of languages and summons/breeds demons. Why is he now the robot guy?

'cause Warren's dead and Willow's busy, that's why.
