Challenges I wish Would Exist

Challenges I wish would exist:

- A challenge where you write a fic in somebody else's universe. Pay tribute to a story you really like by writing a fic from that story. A missing scene, a sequel as you imagine it, an alternative POV, just generally something inspired by it.

- A "podfic" challenge where everybody signs up to read either a fic of their own or a fic they really like (it would probably have to be a short fic or just a selection of longer fic) and post an mp3 of it. (link to some podfic resources)

Especially the second one I would be dead curious about because I would love to know what kind of rhythm the authors themselves imagine when they write their fic. How they would read it. Not to mention there are certain things you notice when a story is read out that you might not notice just while reading it. Like certain things might sound perfectly good while you read it, but you suddenly start noticing certain writing flaws when you suddenly hear it in context.

[of course I know the chances of challenges like that ever getting off the ground are small; especially since they are probably the kind of thing that would only be fun if a couple of people agreed to do it]

- I'd also love more stylistic challanges, like "Write a fic in first person", "Write a fic in the form of a letter or a newspaper article", "Writer a fic from the POV of a character you have never used before".

So, I wondered, what kind of challenges do YOU wish existed?
