Here is a question that has been bugging me for a while: Let's say you have one character you favor. A character you feel sexually attracted to above all others. (of Michael for the Michael/Wentfans, Lincoln for the Lincoln Lovers, Mahone for the Mahonis... etc ( Read more... )

That makes a lot of sense.

If many people feel the same way, then I would assume there to be natural overlap (for example, if you writer a longer, emotional story that ends with a love scene, it makes sense that that scene would then also have to be from the fave characters POV just to be consistent; or that maybe some people just naturally tend towards exclusively prefering character exploration (and porn doesn't matter as much to them) and so they might write their character's POV even in those situation because the porn angle doesn't occur to them; or it starts out as a more porny/sexual story from the other characters POV and it morphs into a longer story, so a story from the not necessarily most fave character POV gets written; wonder if people's pairing choices can sometimes be influenced based on a character being particularly suitable to lavish POV tales for your character or at hitting the right note in those type of tales (whether it's lust or adoration or whatever)[of course I doubt it ever trumps canon, but it might affect somebody's decision to enjoy a minor pairing instead of a different minor pairing]).

Wonder if this is a frequent or even close to a general rule for people? (this being: general/character story => "my" character's POV; sex/porn => outside POV of my character welcome).
