We were meant to live for so much more...

...Have we lost ourselves?

Well, it is just past midnight and the first day of the week has come to an end. Exciting stuff indeed. (Please note heavy sarcasm intended). Amidst all the work I somehow did not realize that tonight was the NCAA basketball finals. Geeze.

I haven't had much to say lately. Not sure why. Guess I've been in a contemplative state for some time. Or maybe I've just been too busy and then I'm too tired to care about posting. Either way, I'm kind of tired of the LiveJournal thing. Not blogging in general...just LiveJournal. I'd like more control...basically my own blogging site. I know you're thinking, "Dude, you never update the blog you have already." And I would agree. However, I think that is partially due to the unexciting task of updating LiveJournal. I want a blog site that is entirely mine, total customization down to the code level. So if you're a LiveJournal freak then I know you're thinking, "But dude, LiveJournal allows you to mess with their code." And I would agree. But, it's just not the same. It's still not entirely yours. Maybe I just want a little fun project on the side to set up my own blogging site and software. I'm considering using Greymatter for the blogging s/w. It's open source. http://noahgrey.com/greysoft/

I recently picked up The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. Some buds and I are going through it one chapter a week and meeting to discuss it. Good stuff. So far it's been good but I'm only through chapter 1. Hehe. If I had actual time for fun reading (see reading outside of school) I imagine I would have read the whole thing by now. Anyways, I recommend this book both for Christians and skeptics. It definitely doesn't gloss over the tough questions.

Well, looks like the veil has been lifted. Tah-dah! Chemical agents and weapons have been discovered in multiple locations. Wow, who would have guessed? You know I'm beginning to get extremely annoyed by the comments from Iraq's information minister. It is absolutely mind boggling how this bastard keeps acting like Iraq is destroying us. The comments are ludicrous. Someone needs to take this punk out pronto. I'm tired of his blatant lying.

I decided to go ahead and graduate at the end of this summer. Crazy how time flies. Grad school almost over??? Weird. I recently was blessed with an incredible local contact. I'm hoping for a job offer for the fall or at least an internship. I really don't mind either as it would be an awesome opportunity either way. Of course, it would be nice to make some real money. But, I would just be glad to be able to stay local.

In the midst of all that Scott and I are still going full bore (sp?). Hopefully, we will begin and finish mixing and editing of the cd in the coming week. And we found a good but inexpensive place for mastering here locally. Yay. Summer will bring 3 weeks of leading worship at a youth camp in SC. And we're hoping for 1 or 2 gigs in Chicago as well....but those are kind of random chance. Then we might try to setup a week or two southeast tour in August with Matt Long opening. That would rock. But it really depends on a lot of variables that will have to come together for it to happen.

Anyways, looks like the time is nearing 1am. Probably should get started on this project due for tomorrow.
