ooops. I haven't been around in a while. (at least not actively.) sorry I missed this one as well.
1. Tori Amos - Sister Janet: that song is really sad, and I'm into sad songs of late. I'm also into Tori Amos of late, hehe. 2. Gregory and the Hawk - Boats and Birds: another sad-ish song. And the singer in this little band has such a beautiful voice! She sounds really cute. Hardly anyone knows them, but I think they deserve more credit for their work. 3. Marilyn Manson - Heart-Shaped Glasses: Not many people I know share my joy when it comes to Manson. This song is really beautiful and heart-felt; one of his most intimate songs, imo. And the drums are just... wow! 4. Amerie - Paint me Over: another sad song. Did I mention that I'm obsessed with those of late? =P Other than that, it makes good fodder for contemplation on the past. *cough* 5. E. S. Posthumus - Nara: very instrumental. A friend sent this to me a while ago. He said he browsed for some theme songs from Cold Case and found it that way. I'm not interested in what's going on on TV, but the song is great. It's like classical music in modern days... for lack of words to better describe it. 6. Moloko - Over and Over: yet another sad-ish song. I'm very fond of it, and the fact that the song lasts for over 9 minutes makes me all the more content. To me, Moloko is like a blend between Aphex Twin, Tori Amos and Björk, with another touch of her own weirdness. Her lyrics and melodies are very interesting. 7. Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad: another song that makes me reflect on the past. And it's also inspiring to my writing. I haven't written very much of late, and I get lots of ideas when listening to this song (though I'm not really fond of her 'usual' music-genre). I should start writing again, especially now that I have time to do so.
