Aaaah!
So here's the thing. My landlords sold my house. But they sold it to a person who's going to rent to me and Tina. That's good news: it means I won't have to move out. But they're going to rent the entire house, and they said since we were here first if we want we can move upstairs instead. So I have a decision to make.
This is why I'm suddenly so alert that I don't know what to do with myself. I want to move upstairs for several reasons:
-there's a dishwasher in that kitchen
-kitchen is overall nicer
-apartment in general is nicer: new floors, newer cabinetry, more spacious
-upstairs = warmer
-upstairs = brighter
-upstairs means potentially better internet wireless signal
-upstairs means I could potentially live in a room further from the very noisy street
-Living where people can come to the front door is nice; less confusing.
-I wouldn't have people traipsing through my apartment to do their laundry all the time.
I don't want to move anywhere for several reasons:
-I like my room. It's *mine*.
-My current room is technically the largest bedroom in the house. Scratch that. It *is* the largest bedroom in the house. By a long shot.
-Tina wants the master bedroom if we move upstairs. I made the mistake of kind of saying she could have it. Which is funny because it's not exactly a mistake: there are several good reasons I *don't* want the master bedroom, number one being it backs on the noisy street, and for another thing the size isn't that different.
-We would have two more roommates upstairs. Of our choosing, yes, but more roommates can complicate and simpify things. Yes, it does both simultaneously.
-I like the paint colour in my current bedroom. Sounds stupid, but it's true. I like the paint colour, and I like the fact that I have a fireplace (nonfunctional as it is) in my room. I put stuff on it and it looks perdy.
So I'm beside myself, for so many inconsequential reasons I can't put it all into words. Any ideas or thoughts anyone has are much appreciated!!! Oh, and you can visit the website of my house here: www.briante.ca/h.htm
(My room is the big one with the fireplace. The master is the one upstairs with dimensions 13X10, and the other room that would probably be most desirable is 10X10)
