Families of Foxlyn
In this entry we have a brief list of all living citizens in Foxlyn Downs at the present time. These pictures are just resized using HTML so to see a sim in more detail, view the image at the source URL.
An RKC requires 1 Royal family, up to 3 Noble families, up to 2 Merchant families and up to 3 Peasant families. Here at the beginning, Foxlyn Downs has 1 Royal family, 2 Noble families and 2 Peasant families. For information about the laws governing their lives, see the Rules post.
The Royal Family
From left to right: King Rudolph, Queen Matilda and Isabelle. Matilda comes from a Noble house in another country, and the King picked her because of her dual skintone. Such a feature is regarded as a throwback to their ancestors and seen as something rare, which is why he desired her, to improve the Lonsdale bloodline. They married just after Matilda's mother died, there's about 6 years difference between them. [Fair warning, Matilda is a teen and Rudolph is an adult. I'm trying to hit a balance between older attitudes and a futurish world.]
Isabelle has looked after Matilda since she was born, and came with Matilda to her new home. She's still very much in mourning for Matilda's mother, and treats Matilda like her own daughter.
The Nobles
The main Noble family is the Ader family.
Husband and wife, Dominic and Ella Ader have all sorts of aspirations. They aren't too impressed with the Noble house of Grove, and see themselves as the only legit Noble family around these parts. They'd be quite pleased if their sons and daughters married into the Royal household.
The other noble family is the Grove family.
Robin Grove is a Noble by blood, but behaves and acts as a Merchant. He travels quite a lot and is a clever businessman. He'll never tell you how wealthy he is though, he's very private that way.
The Peasants
The first of two Peasant groups is the Barrow family.
Valerie is a widow and up until the passing of her husband they were doing okay, for Peasants. Her firstborn, Alicia Barrow is of marrying age and has her sights set on Robin Grove. Her aspiration is Fortune, so that's rather fitting. Cody, her second oldest, is the star of the family. He has that unique, rare skin and Valerie gives him all that she can to help him climb to the next social class.
Her youngest, Angela, was an unexpected child. She came along less than a year after Cody, and a few months after the father died. Consequently, she's never had much attention - her mother spends a lot of time concentrating on the elder two, leaving Angela to do her own thing in the background. Angela is more of a boy than a girl, and would rather go play in the mud and chase chickens than listen to her mother.
Valerie herself hasn't a job, so they try and get by on selling what their little farm can produce.
Finally, the last family is the Matton family.
Gerald Matton is the father of Elijah. They work a farm together, and have a good relationship. Elijah has been married to Laura for a few seasons now, but they haven't any children yet. He and Laura aren't always terribly fond of each other, but they make do. The farm is going well and they're getting by, but that may change when children start coming in.
Laura works for the Ader family as a Servant.
