So after a long hiatus I've decided to post my amusing day. Granted the day isn't over yet, but I am sitting by a computer and if I don't act on this impulse now, lord knows I'll never return to update.
It began as any day off begins; sleeping in past 10 and loving every moment of it! I had considered going into Boylston for a work out, but I decided against it. That's what bellydancing and Jane Fonda are for. After my morning routine I began my journey to the T, enjoying the deliciously brisk and bright weather. My mp3's random setting supplied me with invigorating music and the wind enveloped me in cold-energy.
Since I will be heading home in December, I wanted to be sure I knew how to time my commute on the T (subway). As I sit on my little plastic seat, I hear three people discussing old Nickelodeon shows. They are stuck on one, so I, as I am ever prone to do, remind them of Legends of the Hidden Temple (i.e. the show they were trying to remember). Instantly I am drawn into their conversation and they ask me where I am off to. Before I have time to respond, they mention they are heading to the Museum of Science and ask if I would like to tag along. I decide to accept the invite.
When we get off the T we start talking about where we're from and our stories. It turns out one of the musicians (the two guys play together) is from ct. We start reminiscing about ct, while they wait for their friend to meet up with them so they may commence in a little green. We also start discussing the amount of citrus fruits that can fit in buses. This snowballs into all automobiles, and the possibility of petitioning the Museum of Science to launch our project. A few more random conversations are held before we make our way to the museum. Yet once we get there, I am floored by the outrageously high price of admission ($19) and decide to part ways.
In retrospect, most of why this amuses me so much is not being translated well, but I just had to write this down. I love random adventures, especially when they involve people.
And I did make it to the airport...Productive day FTW!
