First few days in Finland
Ok so once we had the flight thing figured out, I somehow managed to get to Finland without catching a deathly virus or anything, after not really sleeping during the night (I “slept” for about three hours on the floor in the airport. It really sucked and I woke up at 6am freezing and shaking). I checked in, got breakfast and then proceeded through security, where I used the rest of my waiting time to make sure I made the most of the internet that I paid £5 for. XD;
The entire flight over to Finland, I slept. Or I would have slept, if the stupid chicks that were in the window seat didn’t keep getting up every so often to go to the toilet. ARGH I WAS SO TIRED AND JUST WANTED TO SLEEP. WHY COULD YOU NOT GIVE ME THIS LUXURY, DAMMIT. So no novel writing/reading/productiveness for that part. I was kind of worried, since we were late taking off (meaning that flight was delayed) that Pirkko’s sister, who I was meeting in the airport, would have to wait EXTRA long, since I would have to go through passport control and get my bags before I could get to her. But I really shouldn’t have worried (apparently she didn’t have to wait that long. I loved that Finish passport control was so easy; all I had to do was get in line, they swipe my passport on the new E-Passport thing, get stamped, and I’m good to go. LOL yay love. Unfortunately I got stuck behind this one damn family for ages, and coz I’m stubborn I decided to stick it out, figuring that it couldn’t take that long to go through. Of course I was wrong and I ended up moving to another line, where I went through in under five minutes. FML.
So then I just had to find my bags and after going through the “nothing to declare” customs, I was met by Mia, Pirkko’s sister! She was so blonde and pretty! I was like ZOMG I was so thrown that you are Pirkko’s sister! (Meaning the blonde bit; Pirkko has dyed her hair black) they look so alike though. Its kinda freaky, coz when they smile, you’d think they were twins. SCARY.
We managed to just miss the bus that would take us directly to their house (FML) so instead we would have to take a bus to Helsinki and then the train or a bus to their place. We ended up getting the train from the middle of Helsinki (and I was so excited when we got to the town square, coz I knew where we were! I had seen pictures of the train station and the surrounding areas, so I was like “YAY I KNOW THIS PLACE” really loudly, like a moron. Anyway, I withdrew some money in the train station and bought myself a 3 day travel card, and we got on the train to go home!
We had a bit of a walk from the train station in this REALLY LOVELY AREA of the suburbs. It was seriously perfect, coz it was cool with a nice wind and smelt like woods do after rain. IN OTHER WORDS: AWESOME. We had to stop at the local store for foodstuffs, things like chocolate and Linon berries and other foods for that night’s “Reindeer Stew” dish. When we got to Mia/Pirkko’s place, no one was there and I just shoved my stuff off to the side and we ate a small afternoon tea, since we were both hungry (I had been starving since arriving in the airport! DX) but not too much so I could still eat dinner later. Pirkko’s mum came home around 5ish, and she was so friggin’ crazy weird awesome, I’ve never met another mum like her. I think the fact that she spends so much time on the computer, watching TV shows and playing online games automatically made her “SUPER MEGA AWESOME COOL” in my books. XD; and she was such fun. Basically the hour and a half between her getting home and Pirkko turning up, they bagged on Pirkko the whole time. XD it was funny, but I felt somewhat bad about the fact it was my friend … it was all in good jest though. ^-^
So that night, Pirkko turned up and we had Reindeer meat stew and Linon berries and mash and rye bread with whatever on it. VERY TASTY. One amazing thing though, was the cheese cutter. It was like a cheese shaver; you dragged the edge part across the cheese and lo and behold! You had a slice of cheese! And later, Pirkko used it to shave slices of cucumber as well! I was well impressed. :D
Afterwards they watched ‘The Pacifier’ and I used the internet to catch up on Merlin fandom and emails and such, basically a lazy night in. we kinda made plans for the next day, but not really. XD;
Breakfast the next morning was amazing, some weird Finish version of “mac and cheese” which was the mac spaghetti, meat, onion and cheese which you topped with cheese and Ketchup, if you wanted. IT WAS SO GOOD. LIKE OMG. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more/eaten more, but I was still rather “blah” feeling from the kind of sickness I kind of have. So that sucked, but it was still good.
All morning was spent lounging on the internet (LOL), which definitely got a comment from me coz I was like “haha, come all the way to Finland and here we are just sitting around on the internetz!” XDD I didn’t mind though, who knew when I would next have internet? I had plans and stuff to organise for later on, for example, and I had to email dad when I realised something was wrong with our flights to Rome (DX), which he thankfully managed to fix up later. Phew, thanks dad!
After about 1pm we decided to get the bus into the city and SEE A MOVIE. LOL COZ THAT’S WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU GO TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY. Actually I didn’t mind at all, coz we got to see District 9, and I’ve been wanting to see that for awhile (I can’t believe it actually took so long. IT WAS EPIC). It was interesting, watching it with English audio and Finnish and SWEDISH subtitles, both at the same time! (Coz the country is bilingual) though it was kind of annoying when the aliens or Nigerians in the film would speak, because I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE SAYING, so Pirkko had to be my translator. XDDD; it’s also an excuse to watch the film again later, since I missed some parts. XD;
Also: must be said about the trailers that we saw. OH MY GOD I DID NOT KNOW TIM BURTON DIRECTED/PRODUCED “9”. As Mia said in the cinema “because it’s Tim Burton’s, I need this in my life”. WORD. And then there was the trailer for Avatar and I STILL have no idea what the fuck that movie is about, but I’m presuming it’s something to do with human gene modification and a war breaking out because of it? I don’t know; it’s Sci-fi, it looks awesome, the GCI is amazing and Zoe from Star Trek is in it. Therefore, I must see it. NOA. There was one other trailer there that I also decided I needed in my life, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was. No doubt I’ll see it again later and be all “WTF WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS YET? FML” just like I was with District 9. COZ THAT MOVIE WAS SERIOUSLY AWESOME.
Before the movie though we went looking around the shopping district/malls in the centre of Helsinki, and spent a fair amount of time in this one Japanese themed shop. It was really cool actually, coz it was all Japanese anime and manga and kid’s stuff based merchandise. Unfortunately all this stuff was REALLY EXPENSIVE D: so absolutely no chance of buying that stuff unless you have money to burn. :( Same with a lot of other places we went too (all three of us are very poor, always complaining about not having enough money! XD), like when we went into the supermarket and I had a look at all the chocolate since there was no way in hell I was going to leave Finland without buying me some Finnish chocolate. After all, I’ve only been raving about it for the past five years. XD; I didn’t get much then, just these three wee weirdly favoured chocolate bars, for later eating. I’ve eaten one; the “lemon peel and black pepper” chocolate, which was SO WEIRD. Like I cannot even describe how that shit should not exist. It wasn’t bad per se, just extremely weird.
Another place we went to was a movies/sci-fi based shop (right before we went to the cinema) and I was all “LOL AT THIS POSTER OF TWILIGHT. THEY ARE FUG. JACOB IS THE ONLY HOT ONE OF ALL OF YOUS” when we met this really cool chick with bright orange hair highlights and it was so adorable. I was speaking English with the others, obviously and she was like “OMG HEY! YOU SPEAK ENGLISH! Do you like Sci-fi? [Yes] Would you mind doing a survey for me please?” and I [being me] was like ‘yea sure, of course!’ XD; and so we spent the next few minutes going through this double sided 4pg survey, with all the questions in Finnish so I had NO idea what was going on. But she was awesome and in her funky English explained it to me and I answered away. She was all “ZOMG COOL AUSTRALIAN SCI-FI FAN. SO AWESOME” and I was all like *blush* but I really liked the survey. It asked questions like “are you ashamed to be a sci-fi fan?” [Hell no] and “do you think it’s necessary to buy lots of merchandise to be a ‘true’ sci-fi fan?” [No, try hards]. The one question that I later realised I hadn’t answered properly was the “how long have you been into sci-fi” question … because I forgot that I’ve been a pretty casual fan of sci-fi FOREVER. But only been hard core in the last year or so … which is the answer I gave. DX WHY SO RETARDED, SELF??
Anyway, afterwards Mia was going to meet a friend of hers, so me and Pirkko went ‘sightseeing’ and walking around the city. We got out of the movie around 7:30pm, and by 8pm it was totally pitch black dark. I found that kind of amusing. We walked around most of the centre of Helsinki (in the dark! DX) and saw the big white church with its ridiculously huge staircase, which is in the square dedicated to the Russian Czar and has a university and senate buildings (maybe?) nearby. We also walked through this nice park area that is overflowing with drunk people during the summer, at night, and with tourists and adults enjoying the good weather and the entertainment in the park during the day. There are also a bunch of statues in the park, one to a Finnish poet and one to a guy who wrote the Swedish version of the national anthem, or something, and a couple more to people I can’t really remember.
Then we stopped in at Pirkko’s favourite bar [in the city] for a drink, since that’s what we kind of wanted to do. Sadly Pirkko’s had no money, so I decided to shout us a drink - I got half a pint of Finnish beer (which tasted kinda odd … weirdly bitter, different from ‘normal’ beers) and she got a pint of Strongbow cider. We sat in a corner and talked and drank the night away, then Pirkko decided we needed to stay longer and have another drink, so she bought a round of drinks. She informed me that they make good “Toast” at this bar (with its good music) and I decided to buy us some “Toast”. It was basically a toasted sandwich, but it did taste really good. I got the “Base Special” which ended up being … more than just basic? I dunno, but it had cheese and tomato and salami and japeleno’s and onion AND IT TASTED REALLY NICE. We both got half, so yay for sharing.
Then we went home, and Pirkko pretty much fell asleep real quick after that, coz the alcohol had made her sleepy and all “numb”. LOL what do you mean drunk people aren’t funny? I took my computer into my room and played around on YouTube a little longer (I spent a lot of time in the first few days looking at LOTR clips of the cast and stuff; so LOLworthy) before going to bed around midnight.
Next morning, after sleep in, breakfast consisted of the more awesome rye bread with cheeses and shaved pork meat and BUTTER and tomatoes and stuff. We also had left over reindeer stew and mac and cheese stuffs, but I wasn’t all that hungry (typical for a morning). And I needed to get as much of the Rye bread in me while I still can (AND WHILE YOUR THINKING THAT; NO - IT’S NOT LIKE THE RYE BREAD YOU GET BACK HOME. TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND TOTALLY MORE AWESOME). We were meant to go to the markets somewhat early, but because we found out that they would be there for well into the afternoon, we were quite lazy in getting ready to go (read: we played on the internet until we felt like we needed to leave. And a train would be at the station). We stopped at a small store on the way, so Mia could top up her travel card. While in there I noticed that they did have these wee stands where they sold Finnish Manga and books, which was so cute (I had it pointed out to me before) AND they had a gambling machine in the convenience store. LOLWUT. (Though apparently it’s ok to gamble in Finland coz all the gambling companies profits go to a charity? O_o)
So got into town and looked around the markets, which were SO COOL and I wish I had money to buy the cool jewellery and stuff that was on sale. *SUPER SAD FACE* we walked around and I was amazed that they had heaps of FUR on sale, which made me think “OMGWTF THAT SHIT IS REAL” entirely too often. Like with the reindeer antler bottle openers … I know they lose their antlers naturally, but still! Could they find no better use for them??
We ended up eating there as well, this weird tiny fishes thing that looked really gross, but was actually quite tasty. If you ignored the fact that you were eating THE ENTIRE FISH, INCLUDING GUTS AND HEADS AND TAILS D= D= D= D= which weirded me out a little too much. But then Pirkko/Mia’s mum came along and ate the rest of them (LOL at “not having enough salt” and then next bite she could really taste a big bit of it XDD). Then they went off to buy underwear to replace that which Mia had lost when her bag was stolen in Norway (D:) and me and Pirkko went off to buy this weird cheese-that’s-not-cheese filled pastries for all of us, and then get on a boat that would take us to the wee islands just off the Helsinki coast. “Suomenlinna-Sveaborg” was the name of the island and the boat (and yay at all the other boats that were taking people on cruises or the Zoo which is also on one of the islands). We walked around the island pretty quickly; I didn’t realise we had actually come to the end of the trail until we started heading back. XD;
But first we saw all these wee houses that PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIVED IN and the fortress wall that surrounded the island, coz it used to be a fortress that helped guard the city or something back in war days, and it also had arts and crafts stores and museums that we had to check out. There were also a bunch of students on the island as well that day, doing I don’t even know what. Pirkko explained it to me in that they would be set challenges and you’d get more points the more you do … and then you win? I dunno, it’s all very drunken Finnish too me. XD very much a part of the culture though, apparently. When we got to these wee Hobbit Holes (that were just store houses that had been covered in grass, either intentionally or as a result of time, I don’t know) and sat down on one of the Hobbit Hole Hills to rest, these students came running past behind us (men without shirts) singing and yelling something … before running back down the hill again. LOL it was so random, and of course I got stealthy pictures as they ran away. XDD;; *is so lame*
Anyway, we managed to get back on the mainland without drama (perfect timing for the ferry too) and I got more pictures on the way back, before we decided we had to go on the tram circle around the city. I was all up for it … and then fell asleep once I was on it. XDDD I was quite tired from the 3km return walk on the island I guess, but when the tram stopped at its “Starting Point” stop for five minutes, I was like ‘sorry mate, I need nap’. I was already falling asleep before that, so I just figured 5 mins was all I needed - which it was. Then I got back to taking my photographs and Pirkko attempting to explain the city and what I was looking at. XDD; it was cool though, a very interesting ride. I still love the architecture in Helsinki, and their roads are still awesome and the layout being VERY square and straight lines in the city … as you would expect of a city, I guess, but I think because the whole city is pretty much one level, it weirds me out a little bit. It’s like Old London city centre, except that the buildings in Helsinki are actually taller. And redder. IDEK, OK, I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME.
So then it was back to the bus to go hometimes, where I could eat oven pancake and our cheese-filled-puff-things and WATCH MERLIN ZOMG FIRST EPISODE OF MERLIN!!! HAD BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ALL DAY AND ALL WEEK AND SINCE FOREVER!!!!!!1!!11! :D :D Mama Pirkko also cooked us something else for dinner; I believe it was [spicy] chicken and rice. :D
Then afterwards we had the oven pancake I’d heard so much about, along with the Cheese Filled Pasty. The Pasty was really nice. Odd, coz I’m sure that I have eaten it before, but I can’t be certain. And the pancake thing was SO GOOD. Especially when it was still warm, and covered in jam. OM NOM NOM. I went back for more, because I was encouraged and it was yummy and we had heaps left. But afterwards I thought I would explode. Thankfully all the food kept me busy until it was MERLIN TIEMZ!!!!!!
Unfortunately I couldn’t watch Merlin as it streamed, which TOTALLY FUCKING PISSED ME OFF. I knew exactly what I needed to do (i.e., change the proxy server so I could fool the BBC iPlayer into thinking I was in the UK) but unfortunately the logging in and fucking around (D: my computer’s sound died right before it started!!!! DX FML) took so long that I missed half the episode before I could even begin to have anything sorted. So instead I just decided to wait until the d/l was available. AND IT ONLY TOOK AN HOUR BEFORE ZOMG I COULD DOWNLOAD FIRST EPISODE OF MERLIN AND THE SQUEE COME HETHER!!!!!!! It took entirely too long to download, but in the waiting time I squealed with all the other people’s and I spammed the comments in the Party Merlin Post and emailed peoples and stuff, just generally enjoying the ‘SQUEE’ factor with my fellow fans while I waited. Then when IT FINALLY DOWNLOADED ZOMG I COULD NOT EVEN CONTAIN MYSELF. WHEN I LOOKED BACK AT THE DOWNLOAD IT HAD LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES, AND I WENT OFF TO COMMENT, AND WHEN I CAME BACK IT HAD LESS THAN 20 SECONDS!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH EXCITEMENT WAS PABABLE!!!!!!!
Mama Pirkko wanted to go to bed pretty much as soon as I started watching it (ZOMG SQUEEFUL LIKE WOW!!!) which was probably for the best anyway, since if I moved into my room I could flail about like a retard and no one need know. As it was they were already quite amused at me, coz I saw the opening scene (ZOMG AWESOME MERLIN WITH HIS GOLD EYES AND THE OBVIOUS OMINOUS MINING EXPEDITION THAT LEADS INTO OUR PLOT POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I was already flailing like a madman. AND THEN SHIRTLESS!BRADLEY WAS IN BED AND SHOUTED OUT MERLIN’S NAME AND ZOMG THEY JUST KILLED ME SO FUCKING DEAD.
THEIR GAY LOVE IS SO CANON. OMG I CANNOT EVEN.
So after my inability to contain myself, I moved into my room, where I continued to flail and spaz and freak the fuck out for the next hour and a half, because that’s how long it took me to watch. I had to pause it every so often, so I could go away and calm down, before I gave myself an asthma attack or began bawling like a baby, because just … OMG.
Ok; my thoughts shall follow as direct as I can make them. [but of course, it always gets much longer than I anticipate]
- HOLY FUCK YOU ARE SUCH A CUNT PRINCE ARTHUR. WHY ARE YOU SUCH A DOUCHE IN THIS EPISODE?!?!?
- OMG MERLIN IS NOW SLEEPING IN AN ADJACENT ROOM TO ARTHUR. L;DFKGJ;LAJFGOUI MY BRAIN DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS INFORMATION
- SHIRTLESS!ARTHUR EYECANDY WAS HOLY SHIT FANTASTIC IN THIS EPISODE.
- WITHIN TWO MINUTES WE HAD THE GHEY. TWO MINUTES I SAY
- the makeup department was SO amazing in this episode, with that guy’s face in the beginning, Merlin’s poo face later on and everything else ♥
- OMG COLIN MORGAN, YOUR ACTING IN THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD IT HURTS!!!! THE WIT! THE PAIN! THE TEARS JUST PAIN ME!
- Mackenzie’s acting was kinda weird in this episode. I couldn’t decide whether he was good or not … he does shifty really strange at the beginning, but he was awesome when he acted all evil ^-^
- LOL I love that this tomb has only one trap to “deter grave robbers”
- ARTHUR YOU ARSE, HOW CAN YOU CAST MERLIN ASIDE SO QUICKLY AND EASILY
- ON THAT NOTION, LMAO YOU FELL OFF YOUR HORSE
- Oh Merlin, I love you, have I ever mentioned that? You’re protectiveness of Arthur hurts my ovaries with how much you love him
- Merlin really needs to be able to tell Arthur he keeps saving him; it’s the only way Arthur will ever be aware of your love!!
- LOL at this “Cornelius Sigal” being the most powerful wizard ever. Merlin will grow to kick his butt!!
- MORGANA VISIONS LOVE! AND OMG GWEN/MORGANA MOMENTS! :D YAYNESS!
- LOL THE HORSES. CEDRIC YOU SLIMY BASTARD. How Colin is ok with being near those horses’ backside, I have no idea. And EWWW HORSE SHIT FACE.
- LOL LOVE THAT COLIN ‘FALLS DOWN’ WITH BOTH HIS LEGS IN ‘SLEEP’ MODE XDDDD
- Arthur, you are being such an arse to Merlin - how could you??
- CLOTPOLE!!! AHAHAHAHAHA~! CLOTPOLE~!!!
- Oh my god, the face. Oh the music and the devastated look and MERLIN’S FACE! HIS SAD FACE BREAKS MY HEART, I WAS IN SUCH TEARS! D: POOR MERLIN, YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH SUCH AN ARSE. NO, YOU ARE NOT AN IDIOT. *huggles tight* “I just want Arthur to trust me, and see me for who I really am... Everything I do is for him, and he just thinks I’m an idiot” “I believe that you and Arthur are destined for greatness” OMG I SWEAR I DID NOT JUST MAKE THAT SHIT UP. HOW CAN ANYONE BE IN DOUBT OF MERLIN’S LOVE FOR ARTHUR? IT IS SO OBVIOUS. OMGOMGOMG.
- Like I said, Colin Morgan’s acting in this episode is amazing. His tears when he tries to explain to Arthur are just amazing (OMG ITS LOVE) and I cannot believe for a second that this man is anything less than an acting god.
- “have you been on the cider” LOLOLOL~ ARTHUR YOU DOUCHE
- I don’t understand why Arthur wouldn’t listen to Merlin … I mean, it was already established in the first season that he would trust Merlin with his life [or it was heavily implied anyway] and I think that all the good characterisation for Arthur kinda flew out the window with this first episode. I mean, we all know that our boys have a special bond that should have been harder to break than this, and he wouldn’t have just chucked him in the cells for attacking Cedric, he should have actually properly talked with him. I was just kind of disappointed with Arthur all round in this episode. The acting was amazing, BUT WHY SO MEAN, ARTHUR?
- CAMPEST MANFIGHT EVER. BRB, LOLING FOREVER.
- MERLIN YOU BREAK THAT DOOR DOWN BB! DON’T MESS WITH THIS HEAD BITCH IN CHARGE!
- Argh, gtfo Arthur/Gwen. DO NOT WANT Het. But LOLing forever at Arthur’s voice when he says “no, my pleasure” *IZ DED AT HOTNESS*
- Side note: can it be said that the reason Arthur “falls in love with” Gwen is because of what happened in the courtyard? I mean, it’s known that if you look at someone when you’re experiencing fear and high adrenaline that it messes with your emotions and you think that you’re in love with the person you see. The look on Arthur’s face when he was speaking to Gwen was very woozy like, and I can’t help thinking that’s what’s happened in their so-called ‘great love’.
- OMG more teary Merlin = me dead (of course Gaius knew about you and the Slash Dragon)
- YAY SLASH DRAGON. DRAGON BREATH OF PWNAGE!!
- Aww, poor Urther being all distressed about his son. Still feel like the dick deserves it coz he seems to almost push Arthur into these dangerous situations. But of course I can’t help feeling sorry for him a little bit at that moment
- YAY MORE MERLIN/ARTHUR GAY MOMENTS! CEDRIC I’M SO GLAD YOU MADE IT PLAIN TO SEE! XDD;
- BUT YOU MUST RESIST BIRD MAN MERLIN! DON’T LISTEN TO HIM!
- OMG COLIN’S EARS! *nibbles*
- LOL URTHER YOU ARE SUCH A HATEFUL AWESOME MAN. “they prove beyond doubt that I was right” LOOOOOOOOL~ BITCH SAYS WHAT. YOU GIVE HIM THAT EYEBROW GAUIS! XDD
- “Does this mean you admitting … that I was actually right?” oh Merlin’s FACE~! And then Arthur gets all mean again and the devastation was so heart wrenching! Merlin, why are you in love with such an arse?! D: THAT SMIRK DOES NOT EVEN EXCUSE YOU THIS TIME.
- REST OF THE SERIES LOOKS ZOMG SO FUCKING EPICLY AWESOME! MERLIN IS DISCOVERED? :O MERLIN CRIES WHILE KISSING A GIRL???? (WTF WHERE IS ARTHUR?) LANCELOT AND MODRED’S BACK, YAY, GTFO ARTHUR/GWEN KISS, GAUIS IS BURNING SAY WUT?!
Behind the scenes:
- OMG THEY SHOWED JUST ABOUT EVERY SINGLE GAY MOMENT IN THIS SHOW IN ONE SETTING. HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME SO SURVIVE?
- AND TO GAY MUSIC. OMG.
- COLIN MORGAN YOU ARE SO CUTE WHEN EXCITED
- COLIN/BRADLEY IPOD SCENE = AWESOME OF EPIC
- THEY EVEN SAY “ARTHUR/MERLIN ODD COUPLE. HOLY BALLS, MY OVARIES
- AHHH PIMPLES ON PERFECT BRADLEY’S FACE!!! THAT JUST MAKES HIM FOR HUMAN AND THEREFORE, MORE PERFECT
- SONG FOR ANTONY AS URTHER COULD NOT BE MORE PERFECT!! XDDD “COLD AS ICE” INDEED! AND OMG THE EYE TWITCH! *IZ DED*
- RICHARD WILSON, YOUR GLASSES MAKE ME THINK YOU ARE A COOL OLD PERSON, INDEED
- LOL DO I SEE ASIAN IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE CAMELOT COURTS? XDDDDDDDDDD
- OMG KATIE I LOVE YOU MORE THAN LIFE FOR YOUR “BLACK WIDOW” COMMENT ABOUT GWEN. BWAHAHAHA YOU’RE THE GREATEST!!! XDD
- BRADLEY YOU ARE SO LOLERIOUS WITH YOU INABILITY TO SPEAK FRENCH. LOLOLOLOL!
- AHHH ITS ANTONY’S PINK DS!
- OMG I SEE MORGANA MAGICAL EYES!!!!! SINCE WHEN DOES SHE GET MAGIC ACTION??? OMG OMG OMGOMGOMG CAN’TW WAIT!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Sunday was the laziest day ever, sleep until 10:30 ate Reindeer stew and vegies for breakfast and use the internet to download the Merlin Behind the Scenes. XD; I also looked up hostel to stay in for when I got to Estonia and when the boats would leave, but I was retarded and didn’t check WHERE it was going from. DX Pirkko left for the 2pm train that would take her back to her place, and I would go to the city later on for the 5:30 ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. But first I had to pack up and eat and shower before going into the city. I had to buy chocolate, since I’ve been going on about it since forever, so I got one of every ‘Finnish’ type of chocolate and the chilli chocolate and a few others. In the end it was 1.5kgs! and about 20€! How awesome is that? Though now I have to carry it around with me DX
Got to the wrong harbour for the ferry, the Linda-Line Express to Estonia was the only one going to Tallinn there, but we decided to check out the other one on the Silja line just in case (it ended up being for Stockholm, so FML). We had to regroup and rethink a little bit, as the other harbour was the one that would take me on the ferry that I knew, but we would have to rush like mad. Or we could check out the Linda-Line Express, so we decided that. I wasn’t sure if it would be more expensive than the other, but it turns out to be cheaper! And quicker! So how awesome luck was that? I just had to wait about an hour and a half, which I spent talking with Mia about Japan and travelling and Merlin/Star Trek/Harry Potter fandom and university and manga/anime. It was great, and I had a really good time. We also got asked by the Tourist board that was doing a survey for those leaving Finland, and I was more than happy to answer (though sadly, for them, I didn’t really spend all that money in Finland XD). And then I had to rush to leave and hug goodbye and suddenly I was on the boat and here now and wow! That was that! :D
