Oi, so instead of obsessing about certain Japanese music bands and getting crazy about only looking music by them, I decided to try out what some other bands sound like. So for today, I tried out the band Matenrou Opera.
Assessment:
Singer: Good voice, is great at singing soft tones, can hit the high notes quite well (sometimes), uses nice vibrato. Kinda sounds weird when the notes suddenly go down. Sometimes a bit too much screaming. Not esp. good, tho', I like Gackt better.
Instrumental: Nice classical elements, esp. the piano, good guitar, overall pretty good
Tone/Feeling: Calming, Soothing (Kaze no Tori); Energetic, Angry (Alkaloid Showcase); Slow, sad (sara-the singing was awful in this one)
Well, I'll add more once I hear more of their songs, but so far I've only heard Kaze no Tori, Alkaloid Showcase, and sara so far.
