This was on CNN.com today:
http://money.cnn.com/2005/05/12/technology/personaltech/xbox360/index.htm?cnn=yes And yeah, if you consider the average price of the XBOX to be $200, that means that somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 billion have been spent on the system alone, $550 million buying that extra controller, and another $1 billion just to buy one game...so at bare minimum just to play, the total is something like $5.55 billion since 2001. And everyone knows that probably 25% of players bought the R/F adapter ( $100 million), I would say that at least half of XBOX owners want between three and four controllers ($962.5 million), and if you average casual and hardcore gamers together, I would say something like another $13.5 billion in game sales, plus rentals, plus online, etc......over $20.1 billion. That's mind boggling....and the absurd thing is that because of the Asian market and a year 2000 release, Sony made double or triple that amount on the piece of crap they call a PS2.
There must be a job for me somewhere in that industry...
