Nearly a week later. Ahem.
It was a lovely day - and I mean that in all senses. It was cool and cloudy when I woke up, and since I've been having trouble with my hips (especially when sleeping), Mike immediately got up and ran a hot bath for me. While I was lying there reading, he went and made breakfast and brought it up to me in stages. The best part was the surprise blueberry pancakes. :D
As if this weren't enough, when I got out of the bath he told me he had another surprise: a trip to a nearby day spa. So I got dressed and we went merrily on our way, taking the convertible for a change since the weather had cleared while I was getting ready.
A pregnancy massage, facial, spa manicure and pedicure later (oh, and they brought me espresso - I'm so going back there), I was completely relaxed and actually felt semi-attractive again. Nice feeling!
When we got home, there was yet another surprise. Mike spent the day out shopping while I was at the spa (nearly five hours) and bought both a digital camera to replace my old one as well as a digital camcorder. We'd been talking about both purchases for months, since we want to be able to capture all the upcoming cute baby moments.
And then we went out to dinner at the Melting Pot in San Diego (actually in La Jolla, and they answer the phone both ways just to be confusing), which was the only bit I knew about in advance.
Yes, I know I'm spoiled. ^_^;
