so twice as long as the arabic jaar, meaning neighbor, and 4 times as long as the english jar, meaning container? With the umlaut sound shift?

Great word... but my first thought was "foxfour's reading the dictionary for fun?... No, wait, foxfour's reading all the dictionaries for fun ... and he's already alphabetically up to the E's?!..." I'm having a hard enough time just slogging through Nederlands (having had several aborted attempts over the past year).
