I'm really happy that you are making this story more than just about Gin and Izuru. It's wonderful that you are encompassing all the main players, and doing such a good job of it too. The IM between Nanao and Shunsui were really funny - so to was the interraction between Renji and Yumichika.

Ah, and in this chapter I have learned it is not a good idea to smoke a cigarette while reading, as I had an attack of the giggles at the interplay between Yumi and Ikkaku and promptly choked on an inhale. *grins*
Beautifully written (and yes, so bouncing up and down in my seat at Shuuhei's appearance. You pierced his eyebrow! Yay! Erm, does he have scars and tattoos on his face as well? Just curious! *grins*)

I love the development of Gin and Kira's characters, and the intelligence and sensitivity of your writing as a whole. I am curious, though--do you have a background in math or science? Cause it really seems as if you do *grins*

Owww sorry 'bout that ~_~
No, no scars or tattoos. . .yet. :) I'm really pleased you liked this chapter -- to me it's always stood out as the weakest one. Something about the flow of it just nags at me. :P

No, nothing formal beyond the occasional glance at open source university course materials. Lol, so many parts of this story are probably rife with humiliating inaccuracy, but thank you, I'm glad if it at least sounds like I know what I'm talking about. Suspension of disbelief ftw. ;D

That's what I get for smoking, lol.
Aww, now that's a teaser if I've ever heard one!

Hmm, I think it's the first major injection of humor into the series so far, which after the previous chapters lightens the mood just enough to allow us to breathe before diving back in and anticipating what's gonna happen next. I liked it a great deal. The flow seems fine, but I was so caught up in your storytelling that I didn't even notice the flow--so I guess that's good, right?

Seriously? (Oh! Have you checked out the open source materials MIT offers? There's so many! If I didn't have my hands full this semester, I would be happily making my way through anything that catches my fancy; I'm silly like that *grins* If not, I have a link if you want it?)

Let me put it this way--I can't see a damn single inaccuracy. You have that rare skill of being able to take something that has the potential to be deadly dull (I mean the science and math stuff, lol) and spin it out into your story that I want to go and learn about it, for real. I haven't felt ( ... )

Yeah, but you have a fellow smoker's sympathy. I know how much that stings ( ... )

GUH, back to all the delicious shifts in atmosphere that hooked me line and sinker in the second chapter *g*

Now when I find endless things to like in one read, I've a habit of copying and pasting all my favorite parts. So here I go :D

Yumichika threw confetti. Some of it stuck to skin made dewy with rage.
What a mental picture...

"Wait." Iba punched one of Ikkaku's balloons. It rebounded comically off the bald boy's head. He smirked. "Okay, now I'm ready."

Ikkaku punched one of Iba's kidneys. Iba rebounded comically off the pavement. Ikkaku grinned. "Me too! Let's go."

Seriously, you have the most wicked sense of humor. The exchanges between the characters when they all get together in a bustling herd... it's damned delightful~ And the conversation between Shunsui and Nanao had me in stitches XD

Damn my limited knowledge on Japanese terms, because I spent the entire chapter wondering what 'kouhai' meant T_T

Gin frowned and rubbed at the back of his neck, appearing to give the question serious thought. "Early-onset bipolar ( ... )
