Go night. It was fun, although I didn't manage to win any games. In fact, I only managed to complete one game, which was on a 13x13 board. I lost that game by two points (as black) but was really pleased with it regardless. I think I may be starting to get the hang of it a little more now. Also tried playing Pair Go, with four people, two teams of two, players alternate moving for the team, no discussion of moves to come. It was interesting, but I think our better-learned partners were trying to play too tactical a game, so that when thermokat and I played, we totally botched whatever they were trying to set up.
In other news, our appliance water heater went out last week, and we were supposed to have it repaired today, but fixing the thermostat apparently exposed other problems, one of which included a bit of fire. So yeah. Not using that water heater so much any more. The plan is to have it replaced tomorrow.
