Gender Pronouns

I've just realized I tend to call inanimate objects/ideas I'm emotionally fond/affectionate of "she", and inanimate objects I'm not necessarily fond of "it", and people on LJ whose gender feels a tossup (ie, if you don't flag any of my stereotypes, haha) I'll tend to call "he" (or "they", if I'm tactfully trying to avoid the issue altogether, plurality pronoun snobs be damned). I don't mind it when I get referred to as "he" as coyotecult, either; in fact, it pleases me to be somewhat androgynous. (I wouldn't mind it here, either, except it doesn't seem to happen.)

Thus, Jezebel and computers are shes, but programs running on the computers are its. My bike is a she or an it, depending on my state of mind.

So now I'm curious: what are your styles for assigning pronouns?

polltime, random
