maybe some thoughts are needed
Every so often I feel as if full of nothing ...
as if I am empty of love, emotions, thoughts.
And I wonder where all that stuffing went ...
given away to the wind, and exchanged for to others.
But I should have received it all back
like a gift unseen andunknown.
That selfishness is what's anchoring me down
feet firm on this vast ocean floor.
But that firm footing is why I'm standing still
in my room lonely on this night
Reconsidering that I have given it all away
just wishing to get some little bit back.
