Third Annual Original Fic Drabbleathon "Argh! Why do they always do that?"
"Unh?" Trey looked down at the woman beside him, cute except for the scowl on her face.
"There is no sound in space! Everytime they do a space ship scene you can hear things happening on the ship, you can hear the laser bouncing of the shields-and don't get me started on the shields, that's-"
"Sweetie! can't we just watch the show?" Trey looked down at Sarah with what he hoped was a desperate and sad, yet irresistible look.
"But the science!" Sarah cried as she gestured at the screen.
Trey sighed. "Why do you always insist on watching sci-fi, if you aren't going to enjoy it?"
"What are you talking about?" Sarah asked, "I love sci-fi."
Trey gave her a look. "Then we do you always insist on nitpicking?"
Sarah shook her head. "You just don't understand." She gave him a pitying look.
Trey smiled and put is arm around her. He'd been warned about dating geeks, and he supposed it could have been worse. At least he'd never been subjected to a Picard vs. Kirk thing. He went back to the movie.
"Uh! transporters don't work like that! the possibility of transporting something as complex as a person is so-"
Trey sighed again. This was only the first part of the trilogy.
