In the Stargate SG-1 Audio book "Shell Game", Vala does refer to Qetesh as a "bit of a bitch". So you're dead-on canon! Or para-canon, for the purists.
Vala seems like the kind of mom who wouldn't see anything wrong with calling Qetesh a bitch in front of the kids.
I normally avoid fan poetry, but this piece is an exception I'm so glad I made!
As soon as I read B is for borrowed, I was meaning to ask I knew you had a bead on her character, because I heard Vala's voice loud and clear.
And when I read D is for daughter, the one that I lost with its assonance instead of perfect rhyme, the heartbreak hit harder.
The couplets are gorgeous alternations between mirth and woe (G & H), and point out the way Vala survived: balancing comedy against tragedy (Y & Z), travail against triumph.
Thanks for loosening the meter and allowing Vala to shine through the verse.

I'm glad the mix still worked though.
