[While the bright hours of daylight have long passed, the world doesn't yet belong to the night. It is dusk, the time of the dying sun. A killing is at hand

[He's wandered unknowingly into the dream. He isn't sure where we is or what curse is happening this time. All he knows is that he's been wandering between what seems like two entirely different worlds. He's a little disoriented and then... he sees Ninetails and Rao. He instantly recognizes Rao as the priestess he had befriended (or so be believes) and the Ninetails as some type of youma. His disorientation vanishes and he's instantly alarmed.]
[Rao snaps out of her waking terror and looks away from the hulking fox, instead in the direction of the voice shouting her name. She seems to grow even more scared when she recognizes Rokuta]
R-Rokuta? Get out of here! This monster is going to-!
[Her words are cut off by Ninetails' paw slapping her roughly into the wall of rock. The fox isn't one to normally play with its food, but sometimes there are exceptions.]
[Rokuta does not approve of giant youma hurting his friends. He grows angry instantly when he sees Ninetails toss Rao into the wall.]
Rikaku, Yokuhi!
[Rikaku, a large wolf like beast with three tails, leaps from his shadow and swiftly places himself between Ninetails and Rao. He's about as big as Ninetails, perhaps a tad smaller. Next from Rokuta's shadow is the white bird like woman Yokuhi who rushes to Rao's side, offering her a clawed hand so that she may fly the priestess to safety.]
[If Ninetails could roll its eyes, it would. Why did silly humans have to interfere so much? They should just die silently and not be so annoying. It snarls and disdainfully lashes at Rikaku with five of its tails. Rao, meanwhile, reaches out to take Yokuhi's clawed hand - but this is the fox's dream and the fox doesn't want her to get away, so three more tails zero in to smack the bird-woman and the priestess apart.]
[The fox lets out an earth-shaking roar and briefly - but very violently - attacks Rikaku with the remaining tails before using them to fend off the shadows. If things spun too far out of control, it wouldn't hesitate to use its own Celestial Brush....a strong Power Slash should send the insolent blond packing, Ninetails was thinking.]
Impertinent fool! Her life is in my paws regardless of what you are!
[Such stubbornness. Ninetails respects tenacity in only one being - itself.]
Her death is the key to the death of her "beloved" Queen.....and besides that, it amuses me! All her precious, pathetic, impotent gods can't save her from true power. From me.
[Without taking its attention off Rokuta, Ninetails drags the white-faced Rao away from the rock wall and insolently traps her beneath a front paw, squeezing slightly. She chokes.]
You have a mortal's pigheadedness. Very well. I don't often explain my plans to fools, but I'm feeling......generous. [The fox begins batting Rao from paw to paw as it speaks, enjoying how such actions seem to make Rokuta upset.] I kill this woman, take her body, infiltrate her home, and then it is the queen's most faithful and trusted servant who destroys her. But maybe such exquisite ironies are beyond you.
[This DOES upset him very much. Violence in generally does this, being a non-violent being and all, but more so toward someone he considers a friend. Violence also makes his shirei freak out and flock back towards him to protect him.]
What?! But that's--! You can't!
"Enki, we must leave!" [Yokuhi doesn't wait for an answer. His safety is more important. She grabs him and flees, exiting the dream.]
Rao!

Who're you calling 'mortal'? I won't let you hurt Rao! Kibou!
[What appears as nothing but a long black shadows leaps out from the ground next, attempting to tie the kitsune up.]

Just for that reason, huh? If you want to kill the Queen so badly just do it and leave Rao out of it!
[Rikaku tries again, leaping back up and sinking its fangs into Ninetails' paw. Yokuhi, however, returns to Enki's side.]
"Taiho, it's too dangerous! You must run!"
