FIVE MORE DAYS TO CHRISTMAS

I realize I haven't talked about finals yet. Finals weren't great.

Professor Allen's The Cantebury Tales final was not too bad. I did not think I wrote spectacular essays, but they were acceptable, I think. Since taking Professor Allen's final on Tuesday, I studied full-throttle for Biochemistry. I had Biochemistry and ( Read more... )

Yay! Another lover of Braveheart. God, I loved Braveheart. There are very few romances I love, but Braveheart is one of them. There is something so poignant and real about it, too. I personally think most romance is bull, farfetched, and unrealistic, but as unrealistic as this one is (riding into an enemy camp nearly completely unarmed, without assistance?), I was convinced by Mel Gibson's portrayal of ambition that is driven by hatred, desperation, and passion.

And I can never, never forget how he was tortured before he died. Wow. I have never seen anything like that, and despite not actually seeing the blood and the violence done to his body (the vivisection), but the look of pain on his face...wow, you could *feel* everything done to him. That is just amazing.

And when he saw his wife in the crowds right before he died? I cried. That was amazing. I feel so comforted by that because in his last moments of life, he was comforted, and he rejoiced in his death.

This was a weird batch for me, but there were many M&S scenes! It's interesting how often they were together in very shippy moments throughout the episode. But it was a weirdly colored episode, and I had trouble working with it. So I used textures to help supplement it, and I'm so glad it worked out. I had patience with this episode, which I didn't have for the next episode.

Hee! You liked #53! That makes my heart flutter :D
