Today I had to call the cops because there was a 4 & 5 year old boy and girl just wandering around the library with no supervision. I tried to contact the parents, but all the numbers were disconnected. When the cops showed up, their older (10 year old) sister came in and started screaming all kinds of curse words at the cops. The cops dragged them all back home.
Later on the police came back to say that both parents were high as kites when they all showed up at the door. Child protective services is now getting involved, and they want me around to testify.
Sad to say, this is a regular occurrence at our library. I fear for the younger generation, because they really have no respect for authority, and they have grown up without love in their life.
