Paris & London
Ok, so here are the highlights of our trip to Paris & London.
Paris
The Good
-Got engaged on top of the Eiffel Tower. Definitely a highlight.
-The view from Notre Dame = awesome.
-Catacombs = zombies/bones...lots of bones.
-Louvre = lots of Jesus Christ, naked statues, & portraits of white men
-The Metro (subway) = super fast & efficient
-Cheese. Mmm.
The Bad
-Our hotel. No warm water + the room shook when the Metro went by + no English tv
-Sacre Coeur = being hassled by crazy Hakuna Matata guys
-The people. OMG, I've never seen such an unhappy populace. Stereotypes exist for a reason.
-Saint Chappel = what a waste of money.
The Ugly
-No veggie food = grumpy Carla
London
The Good
-Madame Tussauds. Even though the figures were in wax, I'm happy I got to see the celebrities.
-The Eye = fantastic view
-Harrods. It was twenty quid for an ice cream, but worth it for the experience.
-The London dungeon. Not as scary as I'd hoped, but still interesting history.
-The Lion King musical. Awesome performances & great seats.
-The food! OMG, the veggie Indian food was to die for.
-Our hotel was right beside a bar, and we got to listen to drunks fighting every night = Entertaining.
-Come Dine With Me (tv show). Love it.
The Bad
-The prices. Why is everything so ridiculously overpriced? Twenty quid per person to get in to a museum.
-The library. Apparently "non-members" aren't allowed in to see the books.
-The Underground (subway). Terrible compared with Paris. Confusing & expensive.
-The porn. haha. We watched the tv's porn station, and it didn't show anything! Just boobs, and nothing else. Nothing for the ladies. Sheesh.
The Ugly
-British women & men. *shudder* They're not all ugly, just most of them. And yes, I know I'm going to Hell.
