11am. go to shops to buy thermal underwear, warm pants, thermal socks, oversocks, new bikini, sunscreen, insect repellent, memory cards and external hard drive.
4pm. Most of shopping done, Microdirect closed so no memory cards or hard drive.
4:30pm. At work.
6:30pm. Working on paper still. Waiting for emails to arrive so can print out e-tickets etc.
7:30pm. Working on paper. Emails arrive one by one, hours after being sent.
8:30pm. Working on paper. Scanning passport so will have electronic copy if I lose it.
9:00pm. Working on paper. Scanning pages of dive log.
9:30pm. Working on paper. Checking-in online for onward flight from Buenos Aires to Santiago.
9:35pm. WTF??? Flight from Buenos Aires departs 10 minutes before our flight TO Buenos Aires arrives! Check e-ticket, it says departure 13:30. Boarding info online clearly says departure 10:50.
9:40pm. LAN Airlines UK call centre is closed until tomorrow morning. We leave at 9am. What to do?
9:50pm. T&C on LAN website says "Itineraries shall be subject to change without previous notice. Carrier shall not assume liability in terms of guaranteeing connections." Fuckfuckfucketyfuck.
10:00pm. Bet it's not covered by our travel insurance either. FUCK.
10:15pm. No longer working on paper. Stressed out of mind about BA-Santiago flight. If we don't get to Santiago that day, we miss our flights to Easter Island the next morning and they only go two or three times a week. Have not packed. Have not finished paper. ARGHHHH!!!!
