Today is obviously a good day for things arriving in the mail -- I've just been sent a free inspection copy (to keep!) of David DeGrazia's "Taking Animals Seriously: Mental Life and Moral Status", which is exactly what I needed to support Chapter 3 of my dissertation, didn't have when I was writing it but will gleefully make use of in writing the paper(s) that will come out of it. Huzzah for Cambridge University Press!
Also, I am wondering whether to get LoudTwitter. I don't currently have a Twitter accounthave only just signed up for Twitter so haven't used it before, but I do update my Facebook status more often than LJ, mostly because it's quick, doesn't have to be profound and is a convenient outlet for thoughts of the moment. If I Twittered these as well/instead and LoudTwitter posted them here, then it would at least mean LJ would reflect some aspects of my daily life rather than only those increasingly rare days when I get round to posting... or alternatively it would just gum up my friends' f-lists with mindless Twittering!
