Zombies, wtf?

I don't entirely understand how this became a meme by name as well as by nature - how did you all know it was happening and that it was a meme? I was just confused by random zombie posts - but I am, as usual, a zebra climbing a tree rather than running with the herd, and hence hopelessly out of touch with the group mind even if safe from hungry leopards for the time being.
Meanwhile, it is 5pm, I am tired and I want chocolate, but the vending machine is perpetually out of anything but Cadbury's Buttons, which are boring, and Fairtrade chocolate, of which I approve in principle but not in practice because it tastes bleugh.
Some random goals: I am aiming...
1. To write 1000 words a day; productive (work/academic) writing only, not counting emails or LJ. I don't know how realistic this is, given my current struggle to produce even 100 words a day, but it's something to aim for.
2. For "meme" not to be the biggest tag on my tag list. It may be cheating that I haven't tagged it here...
3. To find more things that begin with w. And that don't begin with w.
4. To post more entries about breasts.
