Dinner with Nana, part 790
The Take-Home Report: today's frustratingly-vague gifting included another can of Tabasco Slim Jims and size 10 zebra flip-flops with pink thongs. On WHAT planet did she think that size 10 shoes were gonna fit her tiny Japanese feet??
Note on the Slim Jims- she first bought 2 cans of this crap as a snack for my nephew (because if there's ANYthing a 5 yr. old likes, it's Tabasco flavored meat!) He didn't like them so she gave them to us. I don't have a problem with jerky but those things are garbage- greasy to the point of slimy. We picked at them over the months until they were finally gone. And now she apparently decided that she should buy more for us. Damn my new age guilt over throwing food away :p
