gods forbid I say this on Facebook, lest I start a firestorm, but this whole celebration of Osama's death makes me a little... uncomfortable.
It started this morning with my crazy boss using the company card to buy breakfast for the staff "because of some good news last night". Like really? We killed a terrorist. Have a bagel on us.
I'm not trying to say he wasn't guilty or that he didn't deserve justice in the biblical "eye for an eye" sense. But maybe it's the lapsed Christian in me that just doesn't feel right celebrating a death... even if it was a notorious terrorist's death. It doesn't seem the right time for jubilation. Am I wrong in thinking that if we celebrate his death, we're the same as the people who danced in the streets on September 11 when they heard of America's death toll?
