Dear IRL friends,
Yes, Z is a nice girl,. she is fun and funny and i enjoy hanging out with her.
No, i do not want to date her, why do you not understand this?
There are reasons. While I do enjoy hanging out with her, i do not think we would get along romantically, she is, too giggly, i guess you could say. Prolonged exposure to her tends to annoy me. I don't hate her or anything, but i just don't want to hang out with her THAT much. And, to be frank, she is not attractive to me at all. I don't want to sound shallow, but i have no desire to engage with her, and i don't think i ever will. this sort of rules out any romantic interests.
And Finally, this will always taint the idea, I was interested in H, and H comes to a party, and brings Z just to introduce us and try to hook us up. I went tot hat party to try and hook up with H, And i did not appreciate her bringing her less attractive friend to hook me up with.
H is now dating someone else who is, by all accounts, quite the asshole. That's fine, I'm over that. But The facts of how we met will always taint the idea of ever dating her.
In other words, dear meatspace friends, Stop it, and back off and stop looking at me like I'm some sort of dumbass. I'm just, not interested.
