People and countries are changed by their environment. And the times. Just because people are on the same side now doesn't mean they always will be. Politics determine who we face. We are political tools, nothing more. There's a saying in the Orient: "Loyalty until the end." Being patriotic. Devoting yourself to your country. People aren't the ones who dictate ideology. The times do. People's values change over time. And so do the leaders of a country. The enemies we fight are only enemies in relative terms, constantly changing with time. Yesterday's good might be tomorrow's evil. As long as we have "Loyalty until the end," there's no point in believing in anything... even in those we love. The only thing we can believe in, with absolute certainty, is ourselves.
