“How did all end like this?” He asked himself as he watched 2 kids playing in the park. They reminded him of the past…as if it was only yesterday
Flashback:[everything is going to be a flashback till I say it stops..haha]
”Hyukkie, stop running from me” A certain fish said pouting. It was their first day off since their 3rd album. They decided to go to the park and play.
He stopped running when he saw Donghae pouting. The cutest thing ever. He went to him and hugged him tight, whispering in his ear “You should at least try and catch me” and then they started running again. Eunhyuk trying to escape the mad fish.

‘Why are you avoiding me?’ Eunhyuk thought as he watched Donghae dancing. Whenever he tried to look into his eyes or talk to him, Donghae just went to another member and hugged him. Jealousy. That’s what he felt seeing the younger hugging the other, even more, not hugging him. It hurt so much seeing the young boy in other’s hands. He wanted him, to hug him, to kiss him, but he tried to deny it. Like always.

“Ah…” he sighted loudly as he waited on the rooftop watching the sunset.
He lost his confidence after 3 hours of waiting for him to come. He was about to leave when the door to the rooftop opened and Eunhyuk walked slowly to him.
Donghae’s face brightened when he saw the latter.
“You came” he said running to his best friend and hugged him.
“Of course…Mianhae, I had a schedule. You must have waited so much” Eunhyuk said smiling at the happy fish in front of him.
“Thank you” Donghae whispered happy. As he hugged him like it was no tomorrow. He wanted to stay like that forever. Close, without worries, without problems, just the 2 of them. He was afraid to face the reality…
Eunhyuk startled at the sudden movement. They hugged before, but this time was different, no fan-service, no “friendly-hug”, much more love and tenderness. It felt secure. He fought with his mind. He tried to hide his feelings. ‘Hyukjae, you don’t want to hurt him, right?’ He asked himself sighting softly. He wanted Donghae to be happy, even if that meant he’ll never return his feelings. After all, it took him too much to accept the idea of him being gay. How would Donghae react if he told him that he was in love with him. He would probably reject him, or even worse, this could destroy their friendship. He was happy only by spending time with Donghae, being close to him, seeing him smile, helping him with his problems, hugging him when he’s down and wiping away his tears. If Donghae was happy then he was happy. He tried to smile, but he failed.
Suddenly he felt his shirt wetting. He broke the hug and looked at Donghae. He had tears in his eyes. He felt so hurt, like something inside him broke into pieces. He didn’t want to see that face ever again.
He wiped Donghae’s tears with his thumb.
“What happened? Did I do or say something wrong?” Eunhyuk asked worried as he kissed away his tears.
Donghae stopped crying for a second and looked deep into Eunhyuk’s eye, like reading through his soul. He wanted to break the eye contact, ‘cause he felt like Donghae could read every part of him. But he couldn’t. He stared helpless into the brown orbs.
Suddenly Donghae started crying again. This time louder. Eunhyuk was worried. He didn’t know what to do. He patted the other’s backed trying to calm him down.
His tears started to flow slowly on his cheeks. They cried together like that, hugging each other without a sound.
“It’s ok, Hae. Please don’t cry and tell me what happened.” Eunhyuk said still with tears in his eyes.
“I..” He said looking into Donghae’s eyes.
Eunhyuk wiped off his tears and saw hurt in Donghae’s eyes. It broke his heart. The usual smiling boy. He wanted to tell him how much he cared, how much it hurt him seeing him like this …how much he loved him.
“I…really..” but again he couldn’t finish. It was like he lost his voice.
Donghae looked at him with big surprised eyes waiting for the other to continue. ‘This is it…I can’t deny it anymore Hae. I tried to deny it, thinking that I was just too tired or stressed. Every time you hugged me or kissed me on stage, though I knew it was only fan-service I wanted more of you. I tried to think that this was only admiration. But it wasn’t. Now I know for sure that I love you, Hae.’ He thought but couldn’t speak, his words won’t leave his mind. He only managed to say
“I…love you, Hae” Eunhyuk said breaking the eye contact and trying to hide his blush. He suddenly felt a pair of fingers lifting his chin. ‘Please tell me it’s not gonna end like this’ Eunhyuk thought as he raised his chin and his eyes met Donghae’s brown serious but lovely gaze. It felt different. They weren’t hurt. They seemed…happy. He saw the latter move his face closer to his. He started to heat. They were so close that he could feel Donghae’s breath on his skin. Their lips touched. It felt like all his dreams came true. He wanted to stay like that forever. To feel the other’s soft lips on his. But they broke the kiss for the necessary air. ‘Damn the air.’ Eunhyuk thought as he was fixing his breathing. He looked at Donghae who was smiling. That sweet smile that only Donghae had. He smiled back and leaned to steal a kiss before he grabbed the other’s hand and went back to the dorm.
End of flashback
‘You know you are my everything. You know you’re a part of me, a very important part. I can’t live without you’ Eunhyuk thought as he watched the 2 kids now running and playing. The memories hunted him. It hurt so bad. But he still treasured every moment. It was all he got now.
