The baby question has gotten so annoying to me that I've become sort of passive aggressive about it these days. I've started telling people I "can't have children" because they usually feel like insensitive boors when I do that. It is partially technically true, so I feel less guilt than I should. Gaaaaaaaaaaah.

I'm so tempted to start doing that! It's mean, but no meaner than someone trying to tell me I don't know my own mind...

I am lucky. The baby question never comes up due to my health. See bad health has its upsides!!

Anyhoo have a very very good time. Will be thinking of you and will miss you Saturday x

Ah yes, I'm afraid the only way I stopped the baby question was to leave my husband.

Have a fabulous time without drama!

Have a good trip, and remember I'm not that far away if you need anything :-)

I know you're probably not going to see this until after the fact but have a safe flight(s) and a fab time with the family.

Baby question: I once responded to the oft-repeated "but why don't you want to have children?" with "because I'm terrified it will turn out like yours." Good way to lose a friend, that. =)

My parents are excellent about it. I send them photos of the cats apologising that this is nearest they will get to grandchildren - my father replies "fine by me, most of my peers seem to spend their dotage babysitting, bugger that!"

I have a wonderful family....
