So, the dance workshop went really well. We didn't actually get time for the little routine I had prepared for them, since it turned out to be a morning only thing rather than all day. So we just did more across the floor stuff working on the basics - progress was made, I think, despite more complaining than was helpful from one of the former staff members (who has now decided she wants to march again). The only huge surprise was that about half the class was under 8, including two 4 year olds; they did say it was going to be "all ages", but I had no clue they meant that young. It was a bit tricksy, but we got there in the end. Not to mention that my set of music, while certainly not vulgar, wasn't really compiled with young ones in mind. Still, it went pretty well and have a much better idea of where to go from here.
Fortunately, given the reduced time frame it meant I was back home by about 2:30, so after a shower and a nap,
raayat and I struck a bargain - he'd go see the newest Harry Potter film with me, if I would go see the Transformers movie with him. Deal made we grabbed some noodles and then went to the theatre. Beautiful effects as usual and acting about on par with what I had expected. It did really bring home that it's been way too long since I've read the book. I'm really tempted to start back reading the whole series from beginning to end, before embarking on my copy of the latest and last in the series, but given that I have about 9 weeks left before law classes begin (time for casual reading vanishes), I doubt it will happen. Oh well, they'll be nice popcorn books for in between terms anyway. The question is, do I read the last book now or wait until I have re-read the entire series?
Today has been the usual Sunday - grocery shopping, laundry and general tidying up as well as Russian homework (earning mega expa in
Chore Wars too) . Oh and lots of Diablo. Just the kind of relaxation I need, especially if next week is going to be anything like the one just gone. *shudders*
So that's pretty much life as it stands at the moment. Not too shabby. Now I think I'll go get some tea. . .
