Notes on Monday
a few soundbites during a break on an unusually busy day. . .
- Weekend was good. A nice combination of relaxing and productive. Tango on Saturday was fantastic! We learned a really wonderful turning version of the salida . Really elegant - will have to remember this!. Double bonus that we're starting to pick things up much faster than before and the improvisation aspect seems to be coming easier to R, which is also very nice.
- Russian lessons are coming along ok. We're reviewing verbs of motion right now, which aren't nearly as painful as I remember them being (this must be a good sign).
- Theatre crisis narrowly averted by
schiehallion's self-lessness.
- Vast portions of The Cutty Sark, which has been closed for a major rennovation, was destroyed by fire this morningIt's unclear how much is salvagable. (Pictures via the BBC here) This is a sad, sad day.
