My Yuletide letter is not predictable at all.
Oh wait, it is the opposite of that.
L'Engleverse
In THE MOON BY NIGHT, during the road trip, Suzy crankily asks her brother if he could tesser them, and Vicky thinks "It would have been nice if he could have, like Meg and Charles Wallace Murry, but that, as Kipling would say, is another story."
But in that very book, Vicky and Suzy and John meet Zach, who in AN ACCEPTABLE TIME visited the star-watching rock. Later (RING OF ENDLESS LIGHT, TROUBLING A STAR) they meet Adam, who worked with Meg and Calvin (ARM OF THE STARFISH), and Canon Tallis (THE YOUNG UNICORNS), who's one of their closest allies.
There are some ways to fanwank this, of course, but for the sake of this Yuletide request, let's assume Suzy and Vicky have read A WRINKLE IN TIME, but at the same time, they live in the same world as Meg and Calvin and Charles Wallace. What does this mean? What is the paradox and how does it work? Is Madeleine L'Engle a pen name for Mrs. Whatsit? What happens if Vicky or Suzy met Calvin or Meg?
I listed my preferred characters as Suzy, Vicky, and Charles Wallace in the hopes that this would guarantee you're familiar with the necessary source texts, but don't feel like you need to include all of them, or even any of them. I'm quite happy with any of the characters (listed in this category or not, even), as long as the story in some way explores that meta conundrum. There are enough bits and pieces of canon that cross over that virtually everyone in the L'Engleverse has some ties to both Kairos and Chronos. If you want your story to deal with, say, Emily and Dave (I LOVE EMILY AND DAVE), or with Dr. Louise Colubra, I'd be just as delighted.

Melina Marchetta - Lumatere Chronicles
(Yuletide writer, if you haven't read the Lumatere novels but you don't like the prompt in the fandom you have read, THIS HAS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR FINNIKIN OF THE ROCK. Go, read that, then come back to this.)
One of the things I love best about this series is that, as much as Evanjalin is a role Isaboe plays, Isaboe could not accomplish some of the things Evanjalin does, and Evanjalin could not do the things Isaboe does. Evanjalin isn't just a necessary alias to keep people from knowing Isaboe is alive; as a Mont and a Novice, she means something different to the people of Lumatere than the Queen does. (Think about how different the Future of Lumatere is when represented by Evanjalin than by Isaboe.) And Evanjalin and Isaboe, despite being one person, have very different types of power within the narrative.
Basically, I'm hoping for a story about identity, that explores the multiple characters that make up one person in a very different way than Quintana's make up hers.

'A-Babies vs X-Babies
I want all the stories about Bucky Bear. ALL OF THEM. Whatever story you would like to tell about him would be lovely.
That doesn't mean he has to be the POV character. I mean, he can be, whether you choose to go the Velveteen Rabbit route, the Christmas Toy route, or the Very Secret Undercover Mission He Was Never A Toy To Begin With one. But he can also just be the device any of the other characters uses to express their feelings more thoroughly than they could with another person.
ABvXB verse or the greater Marvel 616, I don't care. Hell, feel free to bring him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or into any other fandom crossover that I seem to have at least a passing understanding of. (I know Lisa from CORDUROY has a strong desire for a bear friend...)
I have a particular fondness for female characters, but I'm happy with pretty much anyone you throw at Bucky Bear. My one really specific request: he's a toy bear. No higher than PG for this one, please.

The Muppet Show
In The Muppet Movie, Robin asks Kermit "is this how the Muppets really got started?" and Kermit replies, "it's sort of approximately how it happened." That basically sums up my point of view on the Muppets: the Muppets are actors, who happen to have written and produced movies and TV specials in which they play exaggerated versions of themselves. To me, each Muppet movie is a consciously-created theatrical imagining of an event, written by and directed by and starring the Muppets. While Kermit and Fozzie and Piggy may be playing characters named Kermit and Fozzie and Piggy, it's kind of like how Neil Patrick Harris plays "Neil Patrick Harris" in Harold & Kumar- he may have things in common with himself, but it's not HIM.
To me, Muppets' behavior on The Muppet Show is the closest to "reality" in the canon. Their behavior on stage, even when it's ridiculous, is on some level staged for an audience, but the backstage antics are closer to the level of reality that, say, reality TV has achieved- real personalities showing through from overly dramatic, possibly staged events.
My ideal Yuletide story would be one that results from that level of pseudo-reality, which acknowledges the Muppets are actors but also that by very nature of their selves they are acting as a version of themselves. Essentially, I want Muppet RPF: stories about the Muppets as "actors" behind the scenes. (NO PUPPETEERS, PLEASE. THAT'S CREEPY.) I would love a story where, for example, Sweetums is upset that he has to constantly antagonize his BFF Robin while acting in THE MUPPET FROG PRINCE, or where Gonzo is very worried that his family will be offended by the plot of MUPPETS FROM SPACE.
In short (yeah, I know, too late), I'm fascinated by the weird liminal space the Muppets inhabit between fictionality and reality, and I'd love if you could play with that.
And if you don't want to do that, I'd also love a crossover with any of my fandoms.

Sesame Street
This season, they're doing a whole thing about teaching Cookie Monster patience. Well, this is fandom. We don't practice restraint here. This request can either be hurt/comfort (he was denied cookies, BUT NOW HE HAS COOKIES AND THEY ARE DELICIOUS) or just straight up blissful enjoyment of his cookies with no one standing in his way. The important thing is that, as a monster whose very existence is dedicated to cookies, Cookie Monster should not be denied them just to teach kids a valuable lesson. It's cruel and unusual Muppet abuse.
If that doesn't work for you, see my Muppet Show prompt, but substitute in confusion of the Muppet monsters all essentially being teachers who are playing the roles of young children to model behavior for their young child audiences. Or are they? Do Muppets age like humans do? What are they like when the cameras aren't rolling?
Please nothing sexually or violently graphic for this; adulthood means more than smoking and fucking, and I'd much rather see the dichotomy of being childlike with children but not being a child in the same way, particularly as the children they work with grow up and they stay static.

Marvel Avengers Movies RPF
Scarlett's drawn the shortest of sticks in the MCU, at least when it comes to publicity; by all accounts she's part of the team in acting (THEY ARE ALL SUCH DORKS I LOVE THEM), but in interviews she gets the token girl questions about diet or about being the only girl. She is an awesome, multi-faceted actress playing an awesome, multi-faceted character, and it seems like the people she works with recognize that. It's just that the press doesn't.
I'd love a story about Scarlett (and, if the mood strikes you, maybe Natalie Portman and/or Gwyneth Paltrow and/or Kat Dennings and/or WHOEVER- this seems like an excellent time to note that in VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA she co-starred with Rebecca Hall, who plays Maya Hansen in IM3) navigating being a woman in a supposedly male field, who is breaking all these barriers but still keeps getting seen as the love interest, even when, well, these aren't kissing stories; they've got shit to avenge.
One of the things I love about these movies is that the actresses involved are clearly aware of the political ramifications of what they're doing, and they are consciously making a difference. And even if the press isn't going to give the ladies behind the ladies of the MCU their due, well, that's why RPF exists, right?
(I would certainly not say no to an AU where the actresses themselves are superheroes actually changing the world, btw. But real life stuff is equally loved, because they're changing the world doing what they're doing as much as they would be if they were actually assassins and scientists and CEOs. &LADIES;)
If you offered "any" and are horrified to see I just requested women, I find Scarlett's BroTP with Chris Evans delightful as well. SO MANY MOVIES TOGETHER. SO ADORABLE.
