Whee! the people

Hi internets! I appear to be awake, mostly because I went to bed at 9 and then got up thirsty and drank 40 oz of water because that's how I roll. And while I'm awake, what have I been doing? Watching TV. Because TV is awesome.

Specifically, I've been rewatching Better Off Ted, as Big Brother is of limited interest to me at the moment (a week left of episodes and I can tell it is going nowhere good), nothing else is really airing for two weeks, and the Good Wife, which I want to catch up on, is a wee bit more intense than I am up for at the moment, especially since I watched the first few episodes of s2 and then had to stop because Kalinda seemed sad.

So, Better Off Ted it is.

You guys, how is Better Off Ted so grate? It's like everything wonderful and magical all at once. Rose, who is not just an annoying precocious child! Linda, who is so much more than the love interest! Ted, who is not just the bland leading man! Phil and Lem, who are the nerds of my HEART (and fandom, how have you not written ALL OF THE FIC about them, I do not understand?)! MOTHERFUCKING VERONICA, OH MY GOSH.

Here is an unpopular fannish opinion for you: I am glad Arrested Development did not last a million seasons, because that enabled Portia de Rossi to become Veronica, EVIL BOSS OF MY HEART. But there is no balm on my soul for the cancellation of BoT. I MOURN FOR THE EPISODES IT COULD HAVE GENETICALLY ALTERED IN A LAB. ;__________________;

Also for the Middleman crossover that I know doesn't exist, but I want SO BADLY. While BOT is way more cynical, both shows have this optimistic cheerful response to evil that would just go so well together. I have put considerable thought into what a BOT/Middleman crossover would look like, and while some details change with time, the only constant is that it would be AMAZING.

I am going back to bed now, because it is 2:30 in the morning, but GUYS, I LOVE BETTER OFF TED SO MUCH, DID I MENTION?
