OMG KALINDA
So I just watched the first season of THE GOOD WIFE in three days!
I just. I.
GUYS I LOVE EVERYONE SO MUCH.
The law firm and courtroom scenes remind me of BOSTON LEGAL, if the show were about Shirley rather than Denny and Alan. (I love Denny and Alan, but Shirley was my fave character on BL, I MAY HAVE MENTIONED?) And the at-home scenes, in this weird way, remind me of Once and Again- the substance is dramatically different, obviously, but the way that small actions mean big things and every single member of the family has a rich emotional life and no one is WRONG, it's just that everyone has different POVs? Yeah.
The first few episodes, I wasn't really clicking with the show- I liked it, but it didn't feel like it really had its balance. And then it wasn't even that Alicia started growing this inner strength, as Alicia started SHOWING her ridiculous levels of inner strength, and it became clear it had been there all along.
(I think this also has to do with the way that the first couple of episodes don't have a real balance between her family life, her political life, and her law career- that developed over time.)
But. Um. KALINDA OMG.
So at first I was kind of confused and feeling Terrible Fangirl-y, because did not see Kalinda/Alicia at ALL. (I did, however, see a bunch of Kalinda/Diane, and I am choosing to believe that there is a ton of fic out there and I just can't find.) But then things happened and KALINDA/ALICIA I TOTALLY SEE IT. And then I kind of fell in love with her FBI contact and kept being like "HAY FBI GIRLFRAND HAY" to anyone who talked to me on chat and then they ACTUALLY ESTABLISHED THAT THEY WERE TOGETHER and I was all !!!!! THAT IS TOTES CANON !!!!! And... that is why Kalinda is great, the end.
Julianna Marguiles is amazing, because I bought into her as Alicia IMMEDIATELY, whereas I am still like "DANNY YOU NEED YOUR CASEY DID YOU MISPLACE HIM HAVE YOU CHECKED UNDER THE BED?" Although I actually had to IMDB Jackie, who it turns out is freaking GRAMS OMG. (Busy on Cougar Town, JJ on Fringe-- WHY IS THE CAST OF EVERY SHOW I WATCH RIGHT NOW FROM DAWSON'S CREEK?) And Chris Noth is really impressing me, by making Peter a character I actually care about, even while hating what he did to Alicia.

Um, I thought I posted this before Survivor started, so please do not take this post as me not being invested in that! But I will say, that despite [spoiler] winning and [spoiler] getting fan favorite and [spoiler] [spoiler]ing [spoiler]ly, I am definitely ending my day thinking about the Good Wife.
So.
Now it is time to watch some s2, y/y?
