If you follow me on twitter, you probably know all of this already.

My sleep cycle is SO screwed. I am going to bed soon, because... hi. But first I have THREE PIECES OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO SHARE:

  • Survivor castaways were on Letterman tonight, doing the Top Ten Things You Don't Known About Survivor. #3 was "To compete with Lost, we've added a hatch, a polar bear, and a really fat guy."

I am torn between "oh honey, you already HAVE a Hatch!" and just :DDDDDing a lot. It's like they WANT my ideal crossover to be reality.

Beyond that the top ten was pretty awful. These people are not known for their stage presence in front of a live audience or their comedic timing. They're known for stealing shoes, or selling out friends for a stack of greenbacks, or being hot. It's best not to push them farther than they need to go.

Today I watched lots of Survivor interviews. My excitement for tomorrow night is bordering on ridiculous. It's like- well, how I felt about Lost. Except with fewer hatches, polar bears, and fat guys.

    OR ARE THERE?

  • I've already mentioned this on Twitter and in catchingfirearc, but THE TITLE AND COVER FOR THE THIRD HUNGER GAMES BOOK HAS BEEN REVEALED. I don't really know why this is so exciting, but it is. It is also proof that any withheld information becomes ten times more exciting than any information you have to begin with.

The disappointments in that article, btw: Despite internet rumors to the contrary, it is not revealed that Cinna has been secretly designing outfits for a Capitol operative known as “Lady GaGa.” and In a tough editorial call, we decided not to have Katniss win the Hunger Games…only to be interrupted by Kanye West. I think that they're really missing out on some A+ YA fiction plotting there.

  • 'Sesame Street' actress struck by car - In the same way that I pretty much refuse to believe Mr. Rogers and Jim Henson are dead, it is baffling to me that someone that iconic can get hurt like that. People on Sesame Street are supposed to be impervious to harm. It feels profoundly unfair that these things can happen to someone who made such a difference in so many people's lives, mine included. It would be awful if it were anyone in the world, obviously, but it's Susan Robinson from Sesame Street. I love her. :(

tv: survivor: whole-ass, lit: hunger games, here be muppets
