I just got a message in a bottle saying my grandma died, so.
I know, I know, I'm spamming, and I'm sorry, but. On the train yesterday I was going through my LJArchive (...shut up), and I found a meme that I'd posted and swore I'd post answers to, and then never did. In, um. *coughs* December. Of 07.
So I am posting a link to it one last time, and then in two or three days will post the answers, along with my comments, and a full chronological list of who got each one right.

I would normally just let it slide, because no one really cares that much besides me, but I noticed that in the post and the comments I got into a discussion of a multifandom ficathon where people have to start their story with the first line of a children's book, and I would like to throw that out there for discussion, because if it's the kind of challenge not requiring any work on my part I am happy to do it.
...I realize that is not particularly optimistic, but I feel we have all seen my issues with deadlines.
In other news: did everyone hear that Obama picked his running mate?
For what it's worth, I think this is the best choice for the American people.
