I have decided to keep the kitten that I came across. Her name is Curie. For those who are wondering, she is named after Marie Curie. This was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize. And, she won it not once but second time in another category ( Read more... )

I think the history of science is interesting. Maybe not as interesting as actually doing stuff with science, but more interesting than the history of anything else.

There's a pretty good number of scientists here. Not that science seems to be a whole lot of help in a place like this--at least in terms of getting out--but at least it means having a few people I can relate to.

A guinea pig is a furry, fat little rodent. I keep one as a pet. They're pretty fuzzy and cute.

They're originally from South America. People there eat them, which is something I'd prefer not to think about too much.

We might have things like that in the South back on Pern, but I wouldn't want to think about that too much. That's what herd beasts are for.
