I had my first speed reading class yesterday. My teacher is really intense. "This is not a remedial reading class. I don't even teach remedial reading!" He kind of reminded me of Mr. Hayman, hands moving all around and everything. His name is Michael. I actually like him. He commented on my t-shirt: "Nice shirt." (I had a Beatles Let it Be shirt on.) Of course, he gave me homework, which is majorly uncool, but it won't be too hard. At least it will keep my brain active. I have to read a book for an hour, and give tellbacks (where every five minutes I stop reading and tell whoever or whatever is near me what has been happening in the last few pages of the book).
Lauren, I am glad you finished the book. I knew you wouldn't be able to keep up that slow pace. For me, every chapter made me more and more curious. I don't agree with you or Yan about the ending. I thought is was just fine. Of course, that is just me.
Oh yeah! I saw the Harry and the Goblet of Fire preview again. I didn't drool this time, but I did almost have a heart attack. Next time I see it I'll probably die.
Edit: Well, tomorrow I'm off to deal with children for three weeks. Wish me luck!
