The Comics in my Life

Feb 18, 2007 17:30

In response to a conversation I was having last night at Pam and Mel's party, I have decided to post a brief list of the webcomics I read regularly - because I think most of you will like at least one of them (and many of you will enjoy many of them). ;-)

So, without further ado and in no particular order except for the order they appear in my Favourites list (so, alphabetical then), here they are:

Ctrl-Alt-Del by Tim Buckley http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/
Console gamer stuff - read it, it's funny. Ethan is an endearing gamer guy who hatches amazing plans that always end in disaster. Oh, and he has an X-bot.

Eat Me by Jeremy Vine http://eatme.angreal.net/1.html
This is only a new comic, but it looks like it's going places! (Oh, and it's made by my friend Jules so go check it out!!)

Order of the Stick by Rich Burlew http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html
This comic makes fun of Dungeons & Dragons and its crazy crazy rules. It's about a dysfunctional group of adventurers and their quest to save the world/collect treasure/have fun/kill monsters/gain levels/create havoc...

Questionable Content by J. Jacques http://www.questionablecontent.net/
A real-life-esque comic mainly about sweet indie-boy Marten and the girls who work at Coffee of Doom (a coffee shop famous for the customer-sassing staff).

xkcd by Randall Munroe http://www.xkcd.com/
"Warning: this comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)." says it better than I ever could.

If you have a favourite comic that you think I would enjoy but you don't see it on the list, please come see me at the end of the class (or just post a comment, duh :P)

**Edit** PS I watched a couple of episodes of Red Dwarf a few weeks ago and now I kinda want to see the rest. So if anybody has Red Dwarf on DVD and feels like having an RD Marathon Party, let me know! (If it doesn't happen soon, that's ok - my house is free over the winter break...)
