Hey.. my eyes aren't glistening with the ghost of my past!
I bought cds today! Plans by Death Cab, The Decemberists' Picaresque as well as some Sigur Rós. Takk and (). Takk was $32! Seriously overpriced but eh, I wasn't going to get the special edition cheaper anywhere else. Besides, I hadn't bought cds in ages and was getting a little bored. I'm going to buy tickets to Sigur Rós tomorrow morning (praying they aren't sold out!). I don't have anyone to go with because no one I know will even try listening to them (seeing as they're all too wrapped up in The Used and Evanescence - ugh, gag me). BUT, my sister is meant to be coming home next year, and so I may be able to go with her. Something weird happened to her after she moved away. She stopped listening to R&B and discovered Conor Deasy. Ooh <3
I'm tired. I didn't get to sleep until 4am and even then, I didn't sleep long. I haven't updated in ages even though lots of things have happened. I keep listening to Death Cab's cover of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" because it reminds me of my best friend. She's on the other side of the country and we haven't been on good terms for a couple of months now.. We talked last night for the first time in a long time and came to the decision that maybe it's best if we limit our contact (rather, she implied and I did my best to refrain from pleading and carrying on like an idiot). I miss her like I imagine I would miss oxygen if I was a thousand miles under the sea. I might send her Takk in the mail. Maybe she'll like them and come with me, and then we can pretend nothing bad ever happened. That would be.. nice. A relief.
Work is also evil. I've left my old department where everyone was really sweet and friendsy and everything and now I'm stuck most of the time with this new kid who won't talk to me and just shrugs or rolls his eyes at everything I tell him to do. It's incredibly frustrating. In good news: my excellent friend Matt who lives a couple of blocks away bought a car this week. Which means he gets to drive me everywhere now. He says he's taking me out next week. Should be boss.
