Okay, I've got to be more careful with spilling gay all over my LiveJournal. There are lurkers that wait to attack me the next time they see me in person. Just the other day at the con meeting, I was instantly told how gay my LJ Post-It post was so gay, but very cute. I knew that people had seen it from the amount of comments, but I didn't realize that I had touched so many people! I do, however, plan on making another surprise LJ Post-it post attack in the future. Stay tuned for that.
I'm also going to try and post a bit more about my english class here just to get myself psyched up for writing. I've got a 500-word essay due sometime in February about a life-changing event. I had considered writing about how furry was a life changing event, but gave that up because as much as I like to flame, college is the least likely place you'll find me doin' it, at least not until I've met the people and can comfortably act normally around my classmates.
I also did quite well on my very first paper, even though the paper doesn't count. I had one error out of the entire page and a half. This is a sign that I will do well in this class. It helps to be a grammar and spelling nazi sometimes, no? I'm posting the paper (read: blurb) that did well today. I will also post all other papers that I do for class, just for a bit of reference and critique.

A Bit About Myself
My name is Nicholas Barr. I am a 20 year old college student in the Information Technology program here at Clayton State College and University. I was born in Peoria, Illinois, but moved to Georgia at the age of three and have been living here most of my life. I graduated from Lamar County High School in May of 2002. While in high school, I participated in a few clubs and organizations, such as the marching band and the drama company. Being in these groups was quite an enjoyable thing. We traveled a lot as well as became one big family in each of the organizations.
Currently, I work for a home-brew game server company. We currently host games such Counter-Strike, which is a first person shooter style game. The job keeps me busy as I maintain the game servers for the customers as well as the company’s website and database of hundreds of customers. For the most part, the job is quite enjoyable. However, it takes a lot of energy to deal with the younger customers, as they can get quite demanding at times.
When I’m not working, I like to go out and spend time with my friends. We usually get together for movie nights every other Saturday, and if someone wants to get together, we can somehow get a group of folks together in no time to go out and have lunch or go do something in downtown Atlanta. I am also a big music nut. I listen to lots of music ranging from classical to rap. There are very few songs or genres that I will not listen to or at least try to give a listen to. I also enjoy playing the saxophone.
In taking this class, I hope to further my writing and communications skills. I would like to be able to write more than just two sentences when asked to express myself on paper. I enjoy writing; but when I try to write, I get serious cases of writer’s block and give up. I believe that this class will help to get rid of the writer’s block by forcing me to write.
In the book, I have been reading through various sections to try and get a general idea of how the book works. I have not really focused on any one section to read yet, as we have not had any assignments.
