Mmkay I think I put this off long enough.
The whole point of political promises is that whoever makes them goes back on them when they're elected, right? So, therefore, I promise not to promise anything. By making this promise, i'll have to go back on it and promise things if I get elected. Of course, by that time, i'dve already been elected, and won't be able to go back on them as easily, and everything works out for the better. And if I don't get elected, then I promised not to promise anything, and am then under no restrctions to do anything.
My logic is flawless.
