Why I spam you with comments.

It's been taking me longer and longer to reply to comments left on my stories, and I just thought maybe I'd take five lines or so to explain a little why. I don't mean to seem neglectful in getting back to anyone; it's in no way a sign of how I value your thoughts or your readership, I swear. It's just that I tend to put off replying if I'm working on something else -- as in, OK, my writing time tonight can either be spent replying to comments from my wonderful fellow fandom folks, or I can finish out the scene where Vince sets his hair on fire. And I tend to end up working on the scenes, instead.

So sometimes, like tonight, you may get a deluge of response comments from me, and -- well, in this case it's a good sign, commentary given because I've finished something and I have a lull in which to catch up on "administrative" tasks like replying to e-mails and reading and giving proper attention to comments. I apologize, though, if it seems like I just reply on the same days that I post. It's a coincidence of timing, not a sign that I only think of comments when I'm putting up new stuff. Promise!

And now, to post. My least favorite part of the writing process. Man, do I hate formatting.
