What you wear or what you eat?

Phew, it's been ages since I was properly on LJ. Guess I'll finally do that Hetalia art dump I've been meaning (and failing) to do for months. =ヮ=

I drew this one solely because I wanted to see Korea in a headband. :D Yes, I am shallow.

China and Rome. I will forever be charmed by the fact that they did kind of meet, historically, and how puzzling they must have looked to each other. (China, you old, old man.)

Little Belarus, in a traditional dress.

A pencil-sketch I did for a travelling art book last year. ♥ (Click for larger image)

Australia, inventing stealing acquiring the recipe for pavlova. :D
(For those who don't know, Australia and New Zealand both claim pavlova as one of their national foods, and they've been squabbling over its origin for a looong time. Apparently it really did originate in New Zealand though lol. I say this as an Australian, so to my fellow countrypeople: please don't lynch me.)

Finally, I drew this for a cultural food-themed art competition over at #APHetalia-Club on dA. I chose to do desserts and sweet foods. :D

From what I wrote on dA (and this is all internet-researched, so apologies for any mistakes!):
Russia: Medovik【Медовик】(Honey layer cake)
America: Donuts
Canada: Nanaimo bar (Bar cookie with butter icing)
England: Scones with jam and cream
Italy: Cannoli (Pastry with sweet, usually ricotta, filling)
Japan: Dango【団子】(Rice flour dumplings)
China: Tián ǒu【甜藕】(Sweet lotus roots stuffed with rice)
France: Poire belle-Hélène (Pears poached in syrup)
Germany: Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest cake)

Haha, and that's the lot. Thanks for viewing! m(_ _)m ♥
