In-Character Information
Name (and age/-relevance if applicable): Shadow Link.
Species: Shadow
Series: The Legend of Zelda (Four Swords Adventures)
Canon Point: After Four Swords Adventures
Occupation or status upon arrival: Student

Personality:
Shadow Link likes to take whatever chance he has to make someone feel bad by insulting them, but is careful to check if he can use the person to his advantage before he makes enemies with them. He makes sure, though, that he's more powerful (or so he thinks) than the people he insults or manipulates, so he doesn't, for example, end up getting beat up or killed by someone much more powerful than him. He especially enjoys annoying Princess Zelda whenever he can. Although, most of the reason why Shadow Link is mean to everyone he meets is because he doesn't like being ignored, and will do all sorts of things for attention. He despises Link, but, in a way, still thinks of him as his master. He claims that if he ever met Link again he would kill him, but, if he really did meet him again, probably wouldn't be able to bring himself to kill him, and if Link tried hard enough he might be able to get Shadow Link to work for him. Shadow Link doesn't like strong, unnatural blasts of light, is weak to large amounts of light magic, prefers dark areas, and is hardly ever seen standing in direct sunlight. He hates it when people think of him as just a shadow, but is fine with people nicknaming him "Shadow". He is afraid of being sealed back inside the Dark Mirror, and will do nearly anything to avoid that.
Shadow Link is capable of everything Link can do, and, even though he is evenly matched to Link, he likes to think of himself as better than Link, and claims that he can easily beat him in a one-on-one battle. The only difference between Link and Shadow Link's fighting style is that Shadow Link tends to use giant bombs frequently and has a few magic abilities.

Backstory:
Ganondorf created Shadow Link from Link's shadow, using the Dark Mirror, which gives Shadow Link nearly all of his abilities. Shadow Link worked for Ganondorf, and helped him take over the world by tricking Link to pull out the Four Sword, splitting Link into four bodies and releasing the dark wizard Vaati. He then attacked Hyrule by making copies of himself and attacking different areas all at once. Later on, everyone thought it was Link who attacked Hyrule.
Link had to fight Shadow Link frequently throughout his adventure, slowing him down. In the last battle against Shadow Link, Princess Zelda sealed Shadow Link and all his clones inside the Dark Mirror. Several years later, the seal on the Dark Mirror finally wore out and broke, freeing him. He left the small, dark enclosure in which the Dark Mirror was hidden. As he looked around, he began to realize that he was inside a cave, in the middle of the Desert of Doubt, far away from any life. Shadow Link left the mirror where it was, since he couldn't carry it through the desert, and nobody would find the mirror in the middle of the desert, anyway. Shadow Link wandered around the desert for what felt like years, until he came across the Gerudo village. Not wanting to have to talk to any of the Gerudans, Shadow Link snuck through the shadows, until he found the way out of the desert. From there, Shadow Link began searching Hyrule to find Link, the hero who helped Princess Zelda seal him away and defeated Ganondorf.

What brings this person to Diamond City?:
Once Shadow Link was free of the Dark Mirror's seal, he began searching for Link, mostly to get his revenge on him. He travelled all over Hyrule, looking for Link, and was ready to give up, when he heard about a city called Diamond City that Link might have been at. Shadow Link travelled through all of Hyrule, finally finding a way to get to the city. After a while, Shadow Link started becoming used to living at Diamond City, and decided to stay.

Special Abilities:
Shadow Link can also teleport between the Dark and Light worlds, and uses it during battle (since the two worlds look exactly alike, the difference being that the Dark World is darker and full of monsters) by teleporting into the Dark World, walking to where he would want to end up in the Light World, and teleporting back into the Light World. Although, when he is in the Dark World and not in the shadows of the Light World, a shadow in the form of Link's shadow is seen on the ground. He can make clones of himself, but his clones can't talk, and if the original Shadow Link were to get hurt, all his clones would get hurt, too.
It's pretty hard to actually kill or hurt Shadow Link. If anyone but the Hero tries to attack Shadow Link with a physical attack, their attacks will go right through him, since he is a shadow. If he was hurt the amount of times it would take Link to die, he would disappear into the shadows, and, after a while, will come back through the Dark Mirror, a dark magic object that allows Shadow Link to live without being near Link all the time. The only way to really kill him is to find the Dark Mirror and destroy it.

Misc. Notes:
Now that Ganondorf isn't controlling Shadow Link anymore, Shadow Link is now the ruler of the Dark World, but no longer has any more demons to control. Shadow Link prefers staying down in the Dark World, where it is, as the implies, darker than the Light World, but sometimes gets lonely.

Permissions:
It's okay for anyone to get in to a fight with Shadow Link, since he's probably going to go around insulting anyone he meets.

First-Person Sample: Thought Train:
So this place is Diamond City, hm? At least most of the people here are far from boring. Now that I've finally found this place, I can start searching for Link. It's about time. By now, he's probably wandering around, bragging about how he's such a great hero. ....Actually, this place is pretty big, it's going to be kind of hard to find Link here. But it's not like that's going to stop me, he's probably nearby, anyway.

Third-Person Sample:
Shadow Link was wandering through the streets of Diamond City, randomly going from door to door, looking for Link. Shadow Link walked past an alleyway and noticed something glinting at the end of the alleyway. Shadow Link, bored and curious, turned and walked down the alley and picked up the shining object. It was a small, golden object, shaped like a small pyramid. Shadow Link recognized this object as a force gem, and stuffed it into the small bag hanging off his belt as he turned and left the alleyway. He continued walking down the street as he tried to remember what force gems were used for, and wondered why there was a force gem lying around in an alleyway.
