Friday was class. Anthro is going to be sooooooo cool! It's all about stuff like how the tone of voice you say something in affects the message, politeness, different cultures (like how in some, it's impolite to beat around the bush), etc. I'd look at the syllabus, but that'd require doing something, and I'm really tired and lazy right now. But the class is like 18 people (cause she set a cap), which is much better than the 50-person 139b last semester.
Then I went to Jess's room, showed her Priscilla, sang Les Mis, her neighbor (and newest addition to novice women) Jen came over as we were screeching Phantom, and then I ordered Into the Woods on ebay. Wheeeeeeeee!
Saturday... I lifted (and now I'm soooooo sore), went into Boston, walked alllll around with Em using up my gift certificates at various places (Winz, I cannot WAIT till you get your bday present. It's the best kind of gift to give when you know the person is going to LOVE what you give them! I wish I could see your face when you open it.). Got a scarf and a hat at Old Navy for 3 bucks each, and then tonight I discovered that the reason the hat is so small is 'cause it's a baby hat. It's really cute, though: it's got blue stripes of different shades and it's fleece and it's got two tassels, one on each corner. And it's sooo cute. Even if it is toddler sized. I've stretched it by wearing it. What else did I get? Hmmm... Bought Em her very own Bargainville in a small measure of return for all she's done for me (like the JJK call, the hospitality, the cheesecake, the T guest-ness, the Bailey's, M&Ms, strawberies, GBDVD, and for being so cool), and I got a used Runrig CD (pristine, 8 bucks, woohoo) and The Sting for me (4 bucks! Suckers!) and a Miles Davis 5-minute-long $1 video for Zach, and the 3rd Sidhe book by Flint (but first I need the second, grr). Can't remember if I got anything else. Oh well. Nothing of importance, obviously, or I'd remember it. Wait! Yes! Two buttons!

I got home and I was really, really tired, but nonetheless stayed up till 3am for various reasons. I'm an idiot.
Scavenger hunt started today! I'm much too tired to detail the adventure now, though, so I'll save it for tomorrow. Emily here at 10:30, hunt ends at noon, two movies with Em after that, and homework at some point in there. Wait! Tuesday, I only have anth! Well, and choir. But that means I can put off my homework another day! WOO!
Note: Emily is such a freaking BLAST to hang out with. Yaaaaaay!
OH! And I auditioned for choir -- UChor -- University Chorus. Totally not as imposing as it could have been. UChor's no All-State. ;) The director warmed me up and down to test my range, had me do some 3-pitch aural recall, and then sight-reading. Oh, and this funky cool thing where she played a cluster of notes... it was like a D-G-A or something, and she was like, "Sing me each note in that." I think I got it. Anyway, so the director did all that, and then she said, "Great. I'll see you Tuesday."
Woohoo!
