serendipity: I met a teacher last night who occasionally covers at Abbey but mostly works at another school. I asked her about covering for me the day the grandrents are here and she said no problem since she has two weeks' warning. Brilliance! Now I just have to write it off as a family emergency- can those happen two weeks (a week and a half) in advance? Will Joanna hate me too much if I'm gone yet another day, although I have arranged a cover teacher? It is a family event, not calling in sick again, and it's the first time it's happened so I am hoping I'll be safe.
Last night I dreamed about me, Z, Jens, jessionthemoon and one of her friends, all hanging out in my bed. Clothed. Mom, Dad, Flo, Jerry and Jeremy showed up so Jens went to go socialize with them and I joined him soon after. Jens took a DART that was actually a ferry, for which Colin (from TCD ling) was a conductor. Mom and I looked at books and stained glass in a library.
edit: met with Jeff, who's given me a structure for my intro and lots of confidence to pull it through. I am not afraid. Tonight is the last night I see Jens for a week; tomorrow I go to the library to follow through on promises to Jeff, Mom, and most importantly, myself.
